I might never get a chance to see it in a cinema, but there's no way I'll miss seeing this as soon as I can - just hope it's heavy on the Mooninites.

C'mon, you think the average film critic has any idea about the greatness of ATHF? Please.

but did you read the early fan reviews as posted on the main site?

im going to be there opening day with bells on, you can be sure, but those reviews dont fill me with confidence.

that being said, the first minute of the movie was funny, and the trailer is hilarious. so im pretty optimistic.

LOL @ the city of Boston!

Didja hear some fearmongering bullshit earlier today about suspicious packages around Boston? Yeah, turns out they were part of an ad campaign for ATHF.

Massachusetts governor/squealing little girl Deval Patrick had this to say about it: "It's a hoax — and it's not funny."

Wrong on both counts, there, stupid. Nobody was trying to "hoax" anyone. Just because YOU overreacted to a box of lights doesn't make it a hoax. Further, it is indeed funnier than hell.

I wanted to shout you down so bad after reading that. I'm from just south of Boston, and I have been in the dark about this all day here at work. Now that I've read the story, and got a bunch of phone calls from friends and family...

It's a fucking RIOT!!!

They have been in place for 2-3 weeks?! And no one noticed til now?! The only thing I can think of is that all of the calls reporting them were set up as part of the ad campaign. Good game, ATHF! :D Well played!

how hilarious.

you dont even have to write it, to have it be perfect satire.

well, if there were ever any doubts about a media induced climate of fear in this country, they have now been dispelled.

Seeing the mooninites flipping off the police... that's a beautiful thing right there.

This whole incident is probably funnier than the movie itself, and I don't even care!

I really dont think they should be givin any felony or charged with any crime. What they did was so basic and simple. Of course, now every bomb threatening bastard is gonna think this is a great idea. Thank you Fox News for not knowing what a sense of humor is. I mean damn, investigate it. People didnt even realize they were up around the city for such a long time. GRAWWRRRARRRR people are so naive and fake.

disagree.

i am both a huge aqua teen mark, and i was baked off my ass, and it just wasn't that funny. it started off pretty strong, and there were some real gems, and some hilarious moments in there. it was cool to hear them cuss. but overall, it wasn't very funny. it seemed like the biggest and best joke was the one that dave willis and matt maiellaro pulled on us. and there was a painful shortage of both carl, and mc pee pants who were the highlights of the movie. i hate to say it, but all in all, it was a bit of a letdown.

Just got back from the matinee.

Full disclosure: I'm a big fan of the show, I wasn't stoned when I went, and I still loved it!

I'd like to have seen more of the Mooninites, but we did get heavy doses of Dr. Weird and the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past. And the kinda-sorta origin story was fun to look at.

Whether you end up loving it or not, it's really a given that you should be familiar with the show before you spend money on it. You'll be totally lost otherwise.

Not many people at my showing -- I counted me and about three other dudes.

I give it an 8/10. It really is just an extra-length episode of the show, but with cuss words.

It's made for a niche market, no doubt about it. However, the budget was only something like $750,000. They'll make a few bucks on the investment.

Okay, I am probably alone in the world on this one, but I think this movie kicked amazing amounts of ass.

Sure, it was nothing but a very long version of the show, with no ‘bleeps’, but what more do you really want from it? A more well rendered Master Shake? Come on, it’s the Williams Street kids having a fucking blast, and I love it.

Coming out of ATL, the movie references esoteric local shit, like these lost kitty fliers that were all over town about a year ago; they make an appearance in the movie, much to Karl’s dismay.

For me, this movie on par with Pick of Destiny in my geekometer.

I FUCKING THINK KARL RULES!

Thanks had to get that off my chest.

If you like the show, and think you would like about 85 minutes of it, this movie is for you. If you don’t know what I am talking about, don’t bother.

13 out of 10 thumbs up on the unikrunk scale of goodness.

EDIT: Oh sweet lord of hosts, the second disk is even betterer. Hypno-Rims, Karl with his track suit down and the Mooninites forcing him to sodomize himself with a broomstick...holyfuckinggod. Ten more thumbs up. Holy shit. Holy. Shit.

Cool review man _ I haven't been able to put together my reactions for this movie - I keep watching it when I'm really toasted.

The song is called 'Cut you up with a linoleum knife' by Mastodon it's (obviously) a parody of the 'Let's all go to the Lobby" song and cartoon we all know.It is pretty awesome. Here are the lyrics:

"Don't talk, watch!
Don't talk, watch!
You came here. Watch it.
Don't like it? Walk out.
We still have all your fucking money.

Do not nudge, kick or jiggle the seat in front of you.
I'm sitting there!
I am everywhere at once
and I will cut you up.

If you make out here,
I will cut your lips and tongue
from your head
with a linoleum knife.

Do not explain the plot.
If you don't understand, then you should not be here.
Your money is our money
and we will spend it on drugs.

Do not crinkle your food wrappers loudly.
Be considerate to others,
or I will bite your torso
and give you a disease.

Did you bring your baby?
Babies don't watch this.
Take the seed outside. Leave it in the streets.
Run over it after the show.

If I see you videotaping this movie,
Satan will rain down your throat with hot acid
and dissolve your testicles
and turn your guts into snakes.

This is copyrighted movie for Time Warner.
If I find that you've sold it on eBay,
I will break into your house
and tear your wife in half.
