Robot Chicken

I can't believe there isn't a thread about this... seriously?!?!?!? :?

Anyone catch the Robot Chicken Star Wars Special episode last night.
If so, any thoughts?

My favorite three sketches were:
1)Walrus Man's bad day (too hysterical!)
2)Darth Vadar explains everything Star Wars to a disbelieving Luke over Cloud City
3) A TIE - Luke and Leah in the afterglow/George Lucas at a Star Wars convention.

Negatives:
1) Did they really have to show the episode at the top of every hour? Farking overkill!

Yes, it was hysterical. Don't forget Darth Vader dancing and the scene with Luke and Leia in bed.

I missed it. I'm hoping they air it again so I can record it.

We have a winner.

some of the sketches weren't very funny but the other one that really made me laugh was the sketch about pretending to be force chocked by Vader and coming back with a moustache.

Oh and George Bush as a Jedi & Jar Jar annoying Vader was good too.

Call me crazy, but I love "Dirty Dozens" humor. Though I think I was exposed to too much of it between this, and episodes of "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" and "Fantastic Four" all in the same evening...

But it was funny.

Haven't seen it yet, hopefully cable will have it "On Demand". If not Cartoon Network will probably re-air it 1000 times. I was a big fan of Robot Chicken when it first started, but it grew old on me fast. I'm excited to see this, though.

I kinda liked that bit about the blue guy from Jabba's Palace releasing a jazz CD. "For The Last Time I'm Not A Blue Elephant, Please Stop Asking."

Indeed... "ANNNNIEEEEE!!!!!!"

By the way wonka I love the new sig... I remember in a thread (not sure which one) confessing on how
I thought the "TEXAS - SISSY" liscence plate in "Urban Cowboy" was both confusing and hysterical!
I get it was his woman's name, but still what Texan would really put that in his car window?

Ah... Randomn Coaxial.

I looked through the first two pages of Coaxial and didn't see anything. I figured with it being a
"Star Wars" themed episode it could use it's own thread.

"Do you have an ATM on that torso lite brite?"

yeah it was really good! But the bush stuff was a bit weak in my opinion. Ok in a normal Robot chicken show but felt like it spoiled the star wars special a bit.

I may be a lone wolf,... errr monkey, on this but I thought that it was all a bit meh. Definitely not as funny as previous Robot Chicken that I’ve seen. I still enjoyed it but it was chuckles not laughter. The animation looked really cool, and was impressed that Lucas actually voiced his own character but other then the ‘oh cool, its start wars’ thing I found it a bit flat.

The intro was tits - the mad scientist as 'Mr. Saltine' finding the chicken ala ROTS -

Also, the scene with the construction foreman was awesome: "Listen, Mr. Saltine, I don't tell you how to do your...whatever, so why don't you just let us do our job?"

Was any of it as funny as Emperor Palapatine on the phone to whiny bitch Vader (set 'round the end of episode one) from season two of Robot Chicken?

The stuff with Jar-Jar and Vader was fantastic.

And Admiral Ackbar's ""Your tongues can't repel flavor of that magnitude!" was great.

These things are never front to end funny, but the good bits (Admiral ACKBAR) were downright genius, and the slow stuff wasn't on the screen for too long.

Joss Whedon's short cameo at the end of this season's third ep: a short slice of geek in-joke hilarity.

reposting from locked (now deleted) thread.

MondoPest wrote:From GamingShogun:
...the latest video from our Wizard World 08 trip: Highlights from the Robot Chicken panel. These guys are tremendously talented and very funny as well. Aside from the funny moments you are about to see, some interesting details were released during the panel too.

When asked about doing another Star Wars Robot Chicken, creator Matthew Senreich replied, 'Maybe'. Also according to Senreich, they are currently 'two and a half weeks' into writing the latest season of Robot Chicken. Enjoy!

The video in the article is very humorous and really shows just how quick-witted those guys at Robot Chicken are. At first I thought Seth Green might be a bit full of himself, and while that could be the case he sure comes off very genuinely in this appearance. It is rather lengthy at 8 and a 1/2 minutes though, just fyi.

It would be cool if they did another Star Wars special. I certainly found it funny. Much better than all the other Star Wars specials. Family Guy's was so so.
