MORE AIRBENDER COMING! W00T!

New job postings at MTV Networks Careers website and from the Animation Guild have revealed that a new Avatar the Last Airbender television project is currently staffing up for production, with open postings for Storyboard Artists, Revisionists, and Supervisors; Prop and Character Designers; and a Live-Action/Animation Reference Coordinator. Nickelodeon has confirmed that the project is in production, adding that series co-creators Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are involved and that more information will be forthcoming at a later date.

Will Aang and Katara wed and will Prince Zuko (out of jealousy) fire bomb their wedding? We all know that Fire Lord Ozai is going to bust out of prison and cause a ruckus. Maybe Princess Yue can be released by the moon spirit and rekindle her romance with Sokka. I'd like to see Katara end up with Prince Zuko and maybe Appa and Momo could have an interspecies romance. Toph will have lasik lazer eye surgery and finally see again. I think I should apply for a writing position on this show.

This is great news. Cheers Bucky, somehow this passed my airbending radar.

I just started watching Book 1. So far, so good. It hasn't been as purely awesome as JLU or BTAS, but it is certainly a fun watch. I could do with out some of the stupid Nickelodeon humor shit, something the cartoons I mentioned before didn't have, but other than that I have been impressed. Excellent myth building, to be sure.

There's a lot of that "Nick" humore in season one.. but like Gargoyles, it starts moving away from it more and works on the story and characters more and more.

Season 2 is tit's magee! Season 3 is balls out!

Good to know. And really, it has gotten better as book 1 has progressed. Looking forward to the later seasons. The show is really cool, though.

Just fucking WOW!

Bring it on. I'm soooo looking forward to this.

I know nothing about the new series so I'm wondering where Ang is. Maybe it's set in the distant future? I don't know but I'm looking forward to it.

I've slowly been watching all of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix over the course of a couple of months. Some people like it, some don't, which I understand. It's goofy in places and the story is fairly cliched (which the kids the series is aimed at probably won't realize, but still). I know I wasn't a huge fan of the first season but thought it steadily improved through season 2 and especially season 3. Plus I liked the infusion of Eastern philosophy. Regardless of how you feel about the show, one thing that is undeniable is the sheer badassness of the finale. That episode was more satisfying than most movies.

I'm stoked for the upcoming miniseries.

Did anyone watch the pilot when it went up online?

If not, then the fact you have to wait one more week for what's probably going to be the best thing on TV should be digging shame into the back of your head.

THIS SHOW IS FAN FUCK TASTIC!!!!!!!

It's just enough of the original show to hook you in, and enough new to keep you interested.

And Kora is GREAT as the new Avatar

First episode arrived in Germnay. Really dug the more modern feel of the city, almost felt like Tezuka's Metropolis (sans robots), especially the music. Very curious how this will play out once it really gets going
