Anime, cartoons and 3D. Animated shorts and features. And don't forget the animation genius in Bulgaria.

if it somehow manages to be more than an extended riff on other, seminal animation epics (Akira sprung immediately to mind, I got a Nyocker vibe as well, but they both came out round the same time and this apparently took years to concoct), if it's not just all pure attitude and style...

that might be awesome.
Personally, I'm an atheist in the voting booth and a theist in the movie theatre. I separate the morality of religion with the spirituality and solace of it. There is something boring about atheism.

WOW! After seeing that trailer and reading the plot synopsis on IMDB, words fail me.
I would love to get this on DVD, but it doesn't appear to be available in the US anytime soon. It looks like this is one that I'm going to have to get through other means.

I'm not an advocate of internet piracy, but if something is unavailable in the United States or has been out of print, I'll use the BitTorrent sites. That's how I got Gen 13 and Truckers (if you haven't seen Terry Pratchett's truckers, do).
But the VHS comment was funny.
