January

1. Deadpool (01.01 TV 2/7)
2. Logan (02.01 DVD 5/7)
3. Blessed (10.01 TV 3/7)
4. On ne choisit pas sa famille (13.01 TV 3/7)
5. Split (15.01 DVD 5/7): McAvoy sure has the moves
6. Spectre (17.01 TV 3/7): 2nd best of the Craig Bonds
7. Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (24.01 TV 3/7): I seem to remember counting these as TV movies and not a series so I'll continue that. Nothing special without the twist/gimmick of the book.
8. Das Totenschiff (29.01 TV 4/7)
9. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Lord Edgware dies (31.01 TV 4/7)

February

10. The Forest (04.02 TV 3/7)
11. Love & Mercy (05.02 TV 4/7)
12. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Evil Under the Sun (07.02 TV 4/7)
13. London Has Fallen (11.02 TV 2/7)
14. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Murder in Mesopotamia (14.02 TV 4/7)
15. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (18.02 TV 5/7)
16. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Five Little Pigs (21.02 TV 6/7): one of my favourite Poirot stories.
17. The Hollow (21.02 TV 3/7)
18. X-Men: Apocalypse (25.02 TV 4/7)
19. Survivor (2014) (26.02 TV 2/7)
20. Friesland – Mörderische Gezeiten (27.02 TV 5/7)
21. Coup de torchon (28.02 TV 6/7)
22. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Sad Cypress (28.02 TV 4/7)

March

23. Friesland: Familiengeheimnisse (06.03 TV 4/7)
24. Damocles (09.03 TV 4/7): Could have done more with the premise.
25. The Boy (10.03 TV 3/7)
26. Ant-Man (11.03 TV 4/7)
27. Point Break (2015) (16.03 TV 4/7)
28. Death at a Funeral (17.03TV 5/7)
29. Friesland: Krabbenkrieg (20.03 TV 4/7)
30. Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Mystery of the Blue Train (21.03 TV 4/7)
31. It (2017) (23.03 DVD 5/7)
32. Big Hero 6 (25.03 TV 2/7): Can't put my finger on it why I didn't like it.
33. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Three Act Tragedy (28.03 TV 4/7)
34. Murder on the Orient Express (2017) (29.03 DVD 4/7)

April

35. Inside Out (01.04 TV 3/7)
36. Independence Day: Resurgence (02.04 TV 3/7)
37. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Cards on the Table (04.04 TV 4/7): If memory serves right, it's a pretty loose adaption, with me likeing the book better.
38. Meitantei Conan: Konpeki no hitsugi (06.04 TV 3/7): For some reason I laughed really hard at the robbers' masks in the opening.
39. Eddie the Eagle (07.04 TV 5/7)
40. Agatha Christie's Poirot: After the Funeral (11.04 TV 4/7)
41. Meitantei Conan: Senritsu no furu sukoa (13.04 TV 3/7): I kind of prefer the more traditional murder mysteries of the TV series. Really dug the classical music bits though.
42. Fantastic Four (2015) (15.04 TV 2/7)
43. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Taken at the Flood (18.04 TV 2/7): Now this had some changes that made like it decidedly less tham the original story. Time that one of these get's only 2/7.
44. Meitantei Conan: Shikkoku no chaser (20.04 TV 3/7)
45. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Mrs McGinty's Dead (25.04 TV 2/7): I seemed to remember that I hated the twist on this one, and I was right.
46. Meitantei Conan: Tenkuu no rosuto shippu (27.04 TV 3/7)

May

47. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Cat among the Pidgeons (02.05 TV 4/7)
48. Meitantei Conan: Juichi-ninme no Striker (04.05 TV 2/7): I'm starting to loose patience with this series. If the next movie will feature a bomb threat again I might give up.
49. It came from the Desert (05.05 TV 1/7)
50. Zashchitniki (08.05 TV 3/7): Being honest this should be rated 2/7. But it had a were-bear which grants an automatic +1.
51. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Third Girl (09.05 TV 3/7)
52. Meitantei Conan: Zekkai no puraibêto ai (11.05 TV 3/7)
53. Poltergeist (2015) (13.05 Tv 3/7)
54. Viy (14.05 TV 4/7)
55. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Appointment with Death (16.05 TV 4/7): Usually I would complain about too many changes compared to the novel but if it's an excuse to get Tim Curry and John Hannah in there I'll give it a pass.
56. Inside Llewyn Davis (21.05 TV 4/7): A bit too much focus on the music, which I didn't like that much.
57. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Hallowe'en Party (23.05 TV 4/7)
58. Johnny Guitar (28.05 TV 5/7)
59. Sleuth (1972) (28.05 TV 6/7)

64. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Elephants Can Remember (06.06 TV 3/7)
65. Clue (11.06 TV 4/7): I liked the first ending best.
66. Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Big Four (13.06 TV 2/7)
67. Agatha Christie's Poirot: Dead Man's Folly (20.06 TV 5/7)
68. Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Labours of Hercules (27.06 TV 4/7): Does it's best trying to mash serveral short stories into a coherent whole.

July

70. Solace (09.07 TV 3/7)
71. Det sjunde inseglet (14.07 TV 4/7)

I noticed nobody else is posting anything

Looking back at the first two months I have to say Man from U.N.C.L.E. was a pleant suprise. The only thing missing was a villain on par with the main characters (like in the beginning when they were still facing each other)

I am interested in seeing this film the more I hear or see of it. Alicia Vikander has my seat definitely planted, and I hear the score is very good too as well as the 2 leads being particularly cool too. Hurry up Netflix! Alicia has a movie out in 2 weeks which needs promoting by putting on her other stuff!

I really liked that movie and thought it was criminally underrated and underappreciated. I think maybe lack of age and appreciation of Cold War era sensibilities in entertainment were responsible for the target audience, 18-50, were to blame. everyone is cast to a T, including Hugh Grant in a role he had to relish. a fun movie I have rewatched several times already.

Somehow I seem to able to watch a lot more movies this year than the last one, already a month ahead.

That said, last month I was bit disappointed by Murder on the Orient Express, the whole thing feeling a bit rushed. Then again it's not my favorite Poirot story in the first place and one that suffers probably the least from being rushed, with everything being glossed over playing no important part in the end.

again, i agree. the whole thing felt a little thrown together and paint by the numbers in execution.

Updated my journal to rank the movies with 7 possible points. Can't believe it took me years of swithing between 5 and 10 possible points to come up with that.

Also there was a noticeable dent in my movie watching during the last weks. I blame the World Cup.
