Way to blow the CGI budget, RS!

Harrison's performance was the best part of KOTCS! He was reunited with his Twinkle, man! He was back! That's a miracle in and of itself, so IMO there is magic in this film despite the obvious missteps.

I don't think the movie had enough pitfall!

Seconded. Even better than the green screening on that shiny turd.

Yeah. I think it was like Asteroids when you reached a million points... it just reset it self to zero and you started over.

Right, I just watched it again just in case I was wrong and the same faults jump out at me here.

But, I think I was so astounding at indy's lacklustre performance that I missed all the other bad performances.

Cate Blanchett was awful as the token Evil person. Such a bland forgettable performance with no threatened feelings whatsoever imparted to the audience. You never felt she was a danger to indy at any point in the film.

Ray Winstone...Shame on you. Just SHAME ON YOU. Go kill yourself. You even sound like you're putting on an English Accent.

I also take umbrage at Shia LaBoeoef's performance. For being indy's son, it was a poor show. I didn't get any feeling he was Indy's Progeny. How can he be Indy's son when he doesn't even look like either of them? Plus, his poorly delivered dialogue shows that he couldn't even be bothered to use any of that limited range he's got.

Don't get me wrong, I think Shia is great in Even Stevens and Disturbia but that's about the sum total of his range. Its either that or sreaming his head off and running around like a, well, headless chicken. It's not very pleasant at all and he has no on screen charm that we see in previously mentioned appearances.

It's jsut Bad noise.

lol. yeah, bayou and i finally got around to watching this last week as well. it wasn't great. it wasn't indy. it was a wannabe indy.

it was an old indy. yeah yeah, i know. he IS old. but that's not how i wanna see him! if i do, i wanna see more of the whip, more moments where you think he's gonna die. more grabbing the hat before it goes away. and not like on that ant hill. that was lame. i wanna see him risk his life for his hat! sheesh!

it just didn't have the magic that the others did for whatever reason. maybe it was cos the artifact itself was kinda lame. maybe cos there was no real threat.

while we were watching it, we were like....HEY! This is from "x" movie!... the whole time. i dunno.

oh wells.

Over Christmas I saw Indiana Jones 4. The good: I was impressed that Harrison Ford could still do Indy credibly. And Karen Allen did well as Marion (welcome return!). The bad: Ray Winstone's character and John Hurt's character. Both were silly and unnecessary and should have been written out in earlier drafts. There was more bad (nuke-proof fridge? Cate Blanchett? Etc. etc. etc.), but those two characters stood out to me as elements that just ... just should not have been in the movie. Also, I may have been drunk, but it looked to me like the scenes at the climax of the film took place in a temple on a hilltop, and yet there was a lot of flooding. Those Mayans must have been amazing hydraulic engineers - lotsa water flowing uphill. Hmm. And it ended in a bunch of psychic interdimensional alien hokum.

KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL was pretty fucking bad. I got more entertainment out of NATIONAL TREASURE 2.

my roommate/brother has that movie...I've been avoiding watching it

KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL not National Treasure 2, I kind of liked it, espically the scene where he kidnaps the President while Randy Travis is singing, in my mind, every presidential kidnapping should happen while randy Travis is performing
