The Ramones' Rock n Roll High School. Any Roger Corman film does it for me in fact.

Somebody mentioned the original "Punisher". That was a great wee Lundgren film. I'd also suggest "Decathalon" with the Dolphster and I think David Soul.

I also feel the Last Action Hero love too.

oh yeah, Roadhouse is a perfect choice for a guilty pleasure movie. cheesy, but rewatchable for sure, and Swayze's wife's ass on display is one good reason. also, it is chock full of one-liners; my favorite being, "i used to fuck guys like you in prison", lol. come on, what other bad guy has ever proudly stated his past man-love exploits, and in the middle of a fight scene to boot? lol

This is a faily obvious one and I think it's been said before (even by me here, I've double posted before I know!) but Rocky 4.

I will always say that this film is an awful load of old bollox that is criminal in it's attitude to the Russians (in real life I hope their 7 foot champion beats the shit out of the US Boxing present Champ), but man it is such an enjoyable inspirational piece of celluloid to get your blood racing - then after the film, get you racing, - away from some massive bloke that you've offered out for a fight thinking that YOU can beat any big bloke up too.

Oh hang on. my apologies. I just re read this thread's title. 'Embarressed to LOVE!'. Noo Maan, I no way, love fucking Rocky 4. In actual fact, again due to the Anti Russian propoganda, I do HATE it more. It's a guilty pleasure, that's all. There's a thread for that isn't there?

Congo - anyone who doesn't go 'fucking yeah' when the Hippo destroys the boat... you have no soul.

Streetfighter - The worst game-film ever... but hilarious nonetheless. Jean Claude Van Damme's military tactics, racist speeches, and threats to an evil dictator holding relief workers hostage 'I'm gonna kicka your ass Bison' are off the charts funny.

Con Air - Cyrus the DANG Virus... Diamond Dog... Cusack quoting high level thinkers... 'I'm coming home, forever'... its so stupid.

Face-Off - Just so fucking bad good.

Flash Gordon.
I'm sure it was mentioned a dozen times already. A small part of my brain tries to convince me that this movie is ALF beyond belief but I still love it.

Jackass: The movie
Talk about ALF. Movie audiences shouldn't encourage that kind of behavior. But it's just too funny.

Here's one...Not Another Teen Movie.

It's another cheesy spoof movie (I wish I'd included it in the spoof movie poll now, though of course it can't compete with the likes of Airplane!), but they do a good job of nailing everything from The Breakfast Club to Varsity Blues. And the music montage cracks me up.

I actually quite enjoyed this movie...

It's a helluva alot funnier and more enjoyable than stuff like Date Movie and Epic Movie and stuff like that...

And it's got The Human Torch in it...and a nude Cerina Vincent...and Chyler Leigh...and Jamie Pressley...

Good times indeed...

Glad to see so much love for Hudson Hawk and The Last Starfighter on this thread. I think I even saw somebody give Waterworld a mention. All good films.

For this one however, I expect to be on my own. It's waaaaay overly sentimental and manipulative, but I just can't help liking it.

The Mighty.

I'm so ashamed...

great scott! Da wild wild west, yes, I like it to. Mostly because of the amazing soundtrack from Bernstein. I realy realy realy realy realy love the film ...

HOOK!!

one of my childhood favorites and even today I love it so much. I can't understand the hate realy. I love the cast, the sets, the lost boys BANGERAAAAAANG!! The dinner, the training back to Peter, the draw a line in the sand and then the little man steps up, shapes his face and says; Oh there you are Peter!! Music swells, all the boys surround Peter, snif, I can cry at that scene so beautifull. John Williams music is brilliant, probably his best score. Remembering Childhood scene, when he finally flies!! Dustin Hoffman as Hook, pure class.

Shit, here goes any cred I may have had; I fucking love old, big studio musicals. There, I said it.

I love the dick out of them.

The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang, The King and I, Annie, the entirety of Rodgers and Hammerstein's catalogue (except Oklahoma, I hate that fucker).

So, let the name calling begin.

/unikrunk feels too, you know.

Nothing wrong with a good musical, though I do HATE The Sound of Music.

I especially like it when the musical numbers actually become a plot point, like the bit in Oliver! where Nancy starts singing the Oom Pah Pah in order to help Oliver escape from Bill.

I wish victims would do that in slasher films. I bet Jason would totally fall for an unexpected musical number just as he's about to gut some teenager...

Mmmm Jar-Jar... Everyone hates you but me...

Actually, I didn't like the Phantom Menace; just thought you shouldn't feel alone

And Joe Vs. The Volcano was a piece of oddball genius.

Movies I hate the fact that I love:

Event Horizon: Scary as hell and well-acted

Jumpin Jack Flash: Whoopi Goldberg back when she was funny, and Carol Kane when she was still cute.

Last Action Hero: Yes, it's obnoxious, but hell, how many Schwarzenegger movies have Ian McKellen as Death in The Seventh Seal and Olivier's Hamlet with machine guns?
