Alien from LA...

I had a huge boyhood crush on Kathy Ireland, and nothing (including her HORRIBLE acting "ability") will ever sway those tingly tweenage feelings...

I really like Communion (1989), despite it's flaws. It's creepy, and Christopher Walken gives a great performance.

I'm going to throw Under Siege 2 into this.

It's really not very good. BUT, tons of great but silly action, fights and explosions somehow make it kinda likeable.

I've always loved the first Resident Evil. Never being a big RPG fan, I'd never played the game. So any "they ruined the game" complaints flew right over my head. I just love zombie survival stories and we get to see lots of gunplay, a shrinking group of protaganists and Miss Jovavich's cooter.

Also on the list is Jurassic Park 3, much better than JP2(which may be the absolute worst big budget sequel of all time). Having low or no expectations probably played a part in liking both these flicks, but I've seen RE at least 6 or 7 times.

I thought the first Resident Evil was really mediocre as a zombie film & horrible as an adaptation.
The computer system thing was the interesting thing about the film.
Almost like Cube, but they were too busy trying to do too many things at the one time.

The second Resident Evil is a good "by the numbers" zombie movie though.

I watched FREEJACK recently, and I was going to add it to this list. However, after the initial cheesy but fun 20-30 minutes, the absolute awfulness of the whole thing became clear. I fell asleep before the end, and I am quite mad at my younger self for ever enjoying this slice of shite.

Rene Russo is very hot in it though, and some of Mick Jaggers fury at not being able to catch Emilio comes off more like a scorned lover, ala Bennet in commando. Plus as an added bonus it is set in the year 2009, where people are still listening to Jesus Jones in nightclubs.

I kinda like the first Lord of the Rings movie...which makes me sad.
But for everything else, If I like a movie, why should I be embarrassed to love it?

Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach. Most people I know never even heard of it much less seen it, and those that saw it probably turned it off. I still think it's funny as shit.

another one might be The Grand. Woody Harrelson was perfect for that role.

Hmm, I don't know if I'm embarrassed to like the bottom list of movies, but they are generally recognized as not being critcally viewed or generally enjoyed by the mainstream, but then I'm not a mainstream person.

#1. Hitman - I'm not familiar with the game, although I know of it, so whether it sticks to the idea of the game or not, I really don't care. Olyphant looked hot, and I like morally gray characters.

#2. Chronicles of Riddick - So many cool quotes. So many cool scenes. I own the DVD and have probably seen it over 2 dozen times. No apologies at all for this one. Riddick is just badass. We need a TV show.

#3. Punisher (the Thomas Jane version). This one I am actually a tad embarrassed over.

#4. Equilibrium. Actually, NOT embarrassed about this one at all. How Kurt Wimmer did such an awesome job with this and such a horribly sucky job with Ultra Violet, I can't imagine.

"Love" might be too strong a word in this case, but I really enjoyed the Adam Sandler movie Pixels and am definitely feeling some embarrassment about it. It's bad in the way that all Adam Sandler movies are bad, but all the retro video game action was goofy fun. Or at least I thought so anyway.

I ran over 2 cats when driving. I sure stopped. Seeing the cats writhing about in their last moments of life was horrid.

Those killings were awful.

I also accidentally killed a spider when hoovering this week. I was so stupid as I already saw the spider and should have been more careful. I stayed awake thinking about that.

I'm sorry God, and I'm sorry cats and spider. But that don't bring you guys back does it?
