Ok, I'm guessing this is gonna go heavily in Boba's direction, but which is your favorite Fett, Boba or Jango?

Boba, pluses: ultimate bad ass, helped catch Han and Leia, likes to disintegrate bounties, rocket launcher on arm, cool voice

minuses: died like a tool (unless you read the expanded universe stuff)

Jango, pluses: taught Boba everything he knows, had an entire army cloned from him, brawled with Obi Wan and lived

minuses: didn't do quite as well against Mace Windu...after getting trampled by that big rhino thing...

Actually, I thought I'd seen it before too, it may be that someone used this for an Av in here before and has since discarded it...

I know, if I had to choose between a wrist rocket and a lightsaber it might be a tough choice. I'd probably kill myself accidentally with either, though...

I think on a average day to day basis a wrist rocket would come in more handy. You know, things like eliminating cues at bus stops, starting forest fires, fireworks parties and cooking small poultry.

I'll go with the Fett of my youth...the one who taught me the meaning of the phrase "proof of purchase."

But why not just open it up and ask "Coolest Bounty Hunter"?

No seriously, best bounty hunter (including Bossk and that robot guy and the other guy who looks like an insect) would be great, as would best SW figure, for polls.

You speak of IG-88 and Zuckuss, Lord.

We must have conversations more often, Voldemoo. It's fun talking about "Star Wars" with someone and calling him "Lord." Homer Simpson might call it "sacre-licious!"

I think jango would win mainly for all of the above reasons, plus what did boba ever do?? He didnt even capture Solo he just got lucky, dirty bastard just got Vader to capture them.
Boba cant even fight that well.

Boba all the way.

I said to Moo in another thread, I don't take points away from Boba for the lame dust-off and ending up in the Sarlac Pit. Lucas was totally kid-i-fying the SW franchise with that movie (Boba died like Wyle E Coyote, Ewoks) and he took his wrath out on the coolest bounty hunter ever.

EDIT - I never read too many of the books. Doesn't Boba end up climbing out of the Sarlac Pit?

but i thought Jango was cool too. i liked that his rocketman suit was all shiny and new / silver n' blue. also, Temura Morrison was a good choice.

I have never really understood the Boba love. Doesn't the interest in the character have more to do with the mysterious appearance of the action figure via proofs of purchase rather than anything he actually did in the films?

I really think bobba's appeal is due to the one thing lucas got right with the character.

no need for a lenghty back story, he rolls in and just runs game. i mean the dude had Darth Fuckin Vader do his dirty work for him. The guy that chokes people by thinking about it and Bobba gets all up in his shit about not killing Solo. Bad Ass.

I think a you totally romanticizing a the character, no? More like a the Vader figures "meh, this a putz, he gonna to be a useful inna other ways, eh? Iffa I give a him what a he wants, I can a manipulate a him a further, no?" It's a not like a the Boba was alla like "you gotta to give him a to me alive Vader or I gonna to bust a the wrist rocket inna you ass, eh?"

OK, my point is the idea that people piss their pants when Vader himself is around. He's feared as the the right hand man to the baddest man in the galaxy. And Bobba had no problem telling him what's up with no fuckin up his cargo. Even when Lando "Colt 45" Calresian tries to question Vader in a simillar matter, Vader shuts him down. But with Bobba he just said he'd compensate him.

You knwo what really pisses me off the most? Is all this Mace Windu Mr Badass Overhyped bollox. Oh, Mace Windu kicked Jango's ass 'cos he's so hard.

What a load of crap.

The 2 hardly fought each other at all in the arena. The only way that Vinduloo killed Jango wasn't about one man's superiority or fighting skill over another, it was because Jango was unlucky enough to have his jet pack destroyed by getting it trampled on by that Rhino monster thingy so that he couldn't take off when 'Mace Windy came at him with his sabre.

That's all.

Come to think of it, a lot of the duel deaths or victories in SW happen in an indirect way.

Especially Boba's.

Jango may have the best action moves, but Boba Fett STILL wins when it comes to making nods of respect between bounty hunters from across a room.

Hmmm...

I wonder if the Beard didn't do that on purpose. I know there are a lot of situations in the prequels that echo, or "mirror," the original trilogy. Both Jango and Boba were otherwise formidable fighters who were killed when their jetpacks malfunctioned. Interesting...

It saddens me that they didn't use IG-88 droids as Gen Grevious' Bodyguards. (I recall a concept sketch for ROTS using them) That would of been an awesome thing to watch!
