Apologies if someone already brought this up, but Polish movie posters are INSANE!

My favorites are the 80s horror/fantasy ones...

This one isn't a poster, exactly, but pretty cool nonetheless. From New Zealand:

That's awesome, and most likely completely over the head of 99% of the people who read it.

That is indeed brilliant.

And the Polish posters are great, the Willow one is my favorite of that bunch. The Species 2 one is completely insane, a dancing robot!?

EDIT: Just realized that's not Species 2, but Short Circuit 2!

Is this the one that they use on American iTunes? Because the director hated whatever they use there so much, that he told everybody to not get his movie from there.

That's very nice... I even kept an eye on the Mondo website, they were supposed to put up that poster for sale. It sold out pretty fast.

All their shit sells out fast. At this point do they even need to put it up on their site? My bitter ass thinks they should just collect the mailing address of those 400-500 people that buy all the shit, and just mail them new shit with the bill whenever they're ready. Hell, just keep all those poster shenanigans to yourselves, show-offs!!!

Cool New Mondo GODZILLA Poster
Mark "RorMachine" Cassidy wrote:Austin-based design studio Mondo have commissioned a new poster for Gareth Edwards' Godzilla reboot for this year's SXSW festival. Phantom City Creative came up with the design, which depicts the legendary monster rising from the smoke of a city he's just decimated.

BAH! if you ask me, it's not The Hobbit unless there's an elf-dwarf-elf love triangle and a main villain who looks like a one-armed albino thundercat.

i don't like it, because it implies there will be a kid in this movie. and kids in superhero movies generally suck.

Here's a poster for Grave of the Fireflies that was brought to my attention a few days ago, following the death of Ghibli collaborator Isao Takahata. There's a little more going on here than is initially apparent, as Kotaku breaks down in detail:

I read a similar article on io9.com last week about that. This is one of those movies that will never pass before my eyes. The subject matter is too much for me to handle. You know, kinda like Sixteen Candles.
