That looked fucking excellent, it's got me really excited. Ok I agree a few things looked incogruous with the boojs but holy fuck those shots of Iorek and the Northern Lights and the production design looks wonderful. And Dakota Blue looks pretty strong for Lyra, she seems to have that dynamism and fearlessness.

Boy I hope so, 'cause this book is BORING.
I write this post in the hopes that a certain Zonette will not hold it against me that I don't like her namesake!

Oh you bitch!![]()
I love the books so much that I know there is no way that the movies are going to get it right, so I'm okay with the movies being what they have to be to be palatable to the masses and make some money. Hopefully, then some young precocious children will want to read the books and have themselves a mind-fuck of a good time.
From what I've seen, I think the footage looks great! It looks like Lyra's world looks like a real, deep and lived in world, just like it needs to be. And Eva Green looks better in the shot of her in the footage than she did in the whole James Bond movie. (It makes me want to go watch The Dreamers again.)

I don't remember that part...

From about 1 minute 11 to around 1 minute sixteen - some of the wide panoramic shots of Lyra's Oxford are also pretty dazzling, if a little unfinished looking.
My sig pic is from it (you're just teasing me, arent you?)

Yes it looks Narniash, but I love the poster. I love the art work and graceful detail in the painting and that the picture establishes a close protective relationship between the 2 characters and that there is possible danger lurking out there. It gets me wondering what it's about.

could he be perched on her shoulder?

They haven't and thank fucking god!
BTW, people, you can find out what your deamon is over at the movie site.
I have an osprey named Eamon. He's my new favorite imaginary friend.

You Daemon reveals that you are
Modesty, spontaneous, fickle, assertive and shy.
You are therefore matched with the Lion daemon.
Calista is one of 2987 Lion daemons of a total population of 72639

Sigh, part of me thought, "Daemon?", what do I need to know my daemon for, it's generated by a list of artificial factors decided by web designers and marketing goons.

I'm gonna need a bigger kitty litter?
Perhaps not my first choice, but then again, as in idea, that's partially the point, to some degree, I think...
EDIT: The music sample that keeps playing on the site is really, very cool...
