Saw this over the weekend. Very well done action film. Matt Damon was definitely solid in the role. And of course the preceding trailers for We Own The Night and American Gangster were awesome.

The action was a bit hard to follow, almost as if the camera was too close during key fight scenes, but overall, I give the film props. Not a definite must see, but it's an antidote to any shitty movie out there you may want to forget.

ugh, they SO were not the same. And why credit Casono Royale when it had been done before. mook. I saw it first in District B13, but I am not going to say it was the first appearance of the monkey jumping. REGARDLESS, Bourne's jumping wasn't in the same insane style. So zip it... mook.

I'm anxious to see this on the big screen, soon. Alot of good comments here, as well, my friends at work are raving about how good it was as well. I haven't seen B1 or B2, but I've read the book.

I haven't read any of the books, but I'm told that they're way, way different from the movies.

I'd catch up on the movies before seeing Ultimatum, if I were you.

Well I usually see most stuff that comes down the pike, but I'm neutral to Damon. Don't hate him, don't love him - so that's the main reason I haven't see B1 and B2. Of course I'll let ya know what I thought. It has been a long time since I've read the book though. My mind just ain't what it used to be.

wouldn't that be frog jumping?

and what do you call it when someone from Thailand does it?

Regardless, parkour cats owe residuals to Jackie Chan, who owes a lot to Buster Keaton...

Aiight, so I took all of your good advice and just received The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy thru my Blockbuster queue. I will be watching these this week, then hitting the theatre this weekend to see the final installment. Often it's hard to get these DVDs when the sequel is just out in the theatre!

Such good comments here and in the media. The movie made over $70M this past weekend. As well a whole lot of hoopla with Forbes saying Damon is Hollywood's Best Investment.

What's all this shaky cam stuff? I guess I'll soon find out.

I saw this thing over the last weekend. I really enjoyed it. I like hte ties it had to both the first and especially the second film. The action seemd real as opposed to style-ized, and it was a great ride from start to finish. Good times.

Watched the Bourne Identity last night for the first time! Good stuff!

I noticed that Clive Owen is in the film as well that dude from Lost, Eko. ;)

I thought Franka Potente was rather good. I haven't seen her in anything else though.

Damon was awesome, great acting, kick ass moves. There was a ton of action and suspense. I was quite impressed.

Next...Bourne Supremacy.

This film was really great. I loved how it would reference the past films both visually and in the dialogue.

One viewer might catch the references while others wont, but the use of it does not loose the impact that it has on the story.

It was really great how the film was set in the time frame from him leaving Russian in B2 and seeing Pamela Landy in New York. That was a neat twist to any sequel.

It was by far the best film of the summer and definitly one of the best of the year. It just displayed so much intellect for the viewer that you don't really get with summer action films, like say the upcoming 'Rush Hour 3'.

It had so much artistic nature to it that was really outstanding. The first time we encounter Bourne, in the enite series, he is floating in the water, and as we end the trilogy that is the last place we see him. It's those kind of touches that really struck me in this film.

ETA SPOILER TEXT (ONLY BECAUSE MAUI IS CATCHING UP) --BURL

Also, the image of Franka Pontente's character drifting into the murky water is so haunting, as Bounre swims into the murky water after his perilous dive, it's almost like he is going to reunite with her. Not in reality, but she repersented a new life for Jason Bourne, and as he swam away, it showed that he was leaving that world behind.

Outstanding action, direction and preformances. All solid and perfect end to the series. I really hope there isn't another 'Bourne' film, not because I don't enjoy the characters and this world but as a film series I don't want it to be tarnished by one bad sequel.

9/10

OMG Bourne was so AWESOME. AMAZING. It was totally off the hook, man. Boy, after a couple glasses of red (and white) wine I really love movies. Especially movies with Matt Damon being all badass and shit. I want to get in a spa with Matt Damon and let him kick my ass naked.

Oh fuck. I'm going to regret this. Ha.

Watched Supremacy last night! Very good indeed.

I felt so bad when Marie floated away - yeah, I get it NOW!

Incredible action in these films. However, the shaky cam. Yikes! One particular scene where he is fighting the other Treadstone dude - I quickly ran to my medicine cabinet for motion sickness pills.

The locations in these films are wondrous. The Goan beach in India, one can only dream of having a beach hut there.

The Bourne films are great viewing, action packed, Damon is super, I take everything back that I've said about him, he is THE MAN. I am BOURNE again.

Psyched to see Ultimatum this weekend. I'm hoping to see the beginnings of Treadstone in the final installment.

Stay tuned...

Yeah, Brian Cox is really good in both B1 and B2.

Agreed, that car chase scene in Russia? I assume that's the one you mean. Really incredible with the taxi cab and the black Range Rover. Kirill gets majorly smooshed doesn't he? 8)

Funny thought: after Run, Lola, Run, how come Franka Potente hasn't been approached to be some badass superhero chick? She's a very attractive woman, and yet has the physicality to be fairly convincing. I mean, Jessica Alba? Jennifer Garner? Halle Berry? These are DOLLS!! Franka Potente will put someone through a wall AND YOU WILL BELIEVE IT!!!! *swoon*

Well see we think the same here. I have a real problem with the superhero chick as of late. They are all wimps. Sure they look good, but they are wimps. I want a bad ass like Ripley. I know I keep on saying this, but even Sigourney Weaver says this herself. Long gone are the days of Ripley type characters where they were rough and tumbly when they had to be, but could later pull out the charm when necessary. Nowadays, it's just superhero chicks with tight tshirts, plunging necklines and 3" heels. (Guys, steer away from this comment, I'm trying to make a valid point here).
