I'm really keen to get a look at a better version in quicktime, but it looks pretty promising to me -PT Anderson directing Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano in a story about the early years of the American Oil business, based on Upton Sinclair's Oil? Got to be some interest in that - plus the trailer has explosions!
Also found a scan from People magzine (US) of Daniel Day Lewis in his role from the film on Filmwad.com

LeFlambeur wrote:Without launching into a full blown review, could you comment a bit on Ashby's infleuence on PDL? I'm curious because I've never seen an Ashby film, and up until now, I had thought it to be Anderson's most stylistically original (or at least PTA-ish) film yet.
The event made for another great surprise for salivating Austin audiences who were more than thrilled to find out what the final secret screening was. Much to their surprise and delight, Paul Thomas Anderson arrived with the very first public screening of his latest masterpiece, "There Will Be Blood," capping the fest with a thrilling high.
