Transformers

Postby TheButcher on Tue Jan 10, 2006 11:23 pm

Well I did a search and didn't find anything for the Transformers.
I hate making new threads.
But I guess I have to start one.
Can anyone tell me if this footage is real?

same footage Twitch had up earlier today, so I'm guessing it is real.

It's only a demo...and I was kinda suprised at how good it did look.
Personally, I'm an atheist in the voting booth and a theist in the movie theatre. I separate the morality of religion with the spirituality and solace of it. There is something boring about atheism.

'Transfromers'.

Sounds a bit ruude that doesn't it?

Trans From 'Ers.

What kind of Trannies, and from what woman did they come from?

Are they a new breed of Transfromers, so one day there men, the next their women or something? Optimus Prime, God knows what he'd be like.

Trannie Formers. What about Transfromers who are animal one day then a He/She the next?

Wonder of I could be me one day then the Ginger haired hot 'n' sexy dirty bird who I nearly got sacked from Warner Bros. Cinema for sexually harrassing (tm)? I mean given all of her sexual qualities, like coming into the foyer and stretching herself back with her arms behind her head, and thrusting her huge bust blatantly in front of the whole audience who just wanted to que up to see Look Who's Talking Now even though she didn't know it - she did have a voice like a bloke.

Er, anyway, dismissed everyone, carry on, your Captain was just getting a bit of mental R 'n' R there.

Cpt Kirk out.

Looks like a real Tranniefromer actor to me. Not CGI at all.

Then again I am the only one I think who thinks that the Ginger haired hot 'n' sexy dirty bird who I nearly got sacked from Warner Bros. Cinema for sexually harrassing (tm), is the sexiest thing at that place where everyone else thinks she's a bit waft.

Now I did remember sometime on the net back in '03 or '04 I think where there was what definitely looked like a real life Robot Tranniefromer in a warehouse standing in a long shot on the left hand side of the screen that leant down to hold and grab a car that drove up to it in this shot. Defintely real I believe. Does this ring a bell?

Basically, this movie is gonna be a combo of CGI and real life physical effects.

Go Bots was THE WORST!

Transformers was all bad ass what with the anime style and the boombox that talked like he always had a vocorder on or like a Cylon with the transforming doberman pincher robots and the falcons and shit.

Soundwave... yeah... he was a bad ass muthaphuckin' robot bastard!

go-bots did suck, they didn't even have cool looking robots/transformations. Like a plane guy would look like a conehead or some of them you just turned them over and BAM they're a robot. LAME.

4 reasons why the transformers owned go-bots

Soundwave
Shockwave
Optimus Prime
Megatron

Last I saw GoBots was purchased by Hasbro and they are now part of their young childrens line of toys. Big pieces of colorful plastic that give small hands something to grab hold of and will survive a trip to the sandbox. They're called Transformers GoBots. At least, they were when I saw them in 2002.

He didn't turn into a bee, it was a VW Beetle. The point of it was the toy manufacturers captured the imagination of kids around the world, and their parents' cash - because if you had the choice between buying a toy robot, or a toy car, or a toy that could be both - it's a no-brainer really, isn't it?

ZZS - glad I'm not the only one who remembers Arcee - that chick was HOT! It pissed me off that you couldn't buy the toy - and did we ever actually see her transform? Do you remember when the Aerialbots went back in time and played a part in the origin of Optimus Prime? I seem to remember that episode had a female transformer in it too.

Of course, in certain social scenes today, the word "transformer" now means something drastically different......

Totally! She was a sexay robo layday! The thing that sticks out in my mind about that time was how terrible the post-movie season of the tv show was. The animation quality just dropped considerably. Do you remember that? It no longer had that anime sheen; it looked almost like GoBots (yuck). I always reckoned that they must've blown the whole years budget on the movie and had to rush to make the next season.

Ipampilash! I remember seeing that Lou Reed album when I was a kid and being like, "Cool! Is that about Transformers?" Then on the back was like this dude dressed like a lady. "Huh?"

Later on I was pleased to discover that the album is one of the greatest binge recovery / hipster literate rock records EVER!

Of course I cheered. I always cheered for the villians when I was a kid because they were the underdog. I cheered for Duke getting a snake through the heart from Serpentor ala Thulsa Doom till they copped out in the movie and made him go into a coma. The decepticons up till that point had never accomplished anything on the show of any significance.

Haha! I love that album too! Lou Reed is a dude.

I totally hear you on the post-movie season. In fact, after the movie, I rapidly lost interest in Transformers, it was like it had reached its Zenith and couldn't get any better.

But let's not forget how important the year 2006 is in Transformers mythology!
