Here is 'Radio Romance' by Tiffany. It is a remake of the Clint Eastwood film PLAY MISTY FOR ME. I think Tiffany brings a lot to Clint's film and really makes the story her own. I like that she works in an upbeat retro diner, but dresses all in black to show her sadness and longing for the douchbag in the sports car. If he has a really common name he probably doesn't even get that she's dedicating all those songs to him, or if he just listens to another station.

I like it when it goes fully mental and Tiffany forms a Supremes impersonator group, only I guess nobody told her The Supremes didn't have a white mulleted muscleman, let alone two. Then a dude starts trying to blow himself with a saxophone.

I also like the break dancing waiter. I watched PULP FICTION last week and they had a whole restaurant where all the waiters and waitresses dressed up like Hollywood icons and even did voice impressions. I think Americans work way fucking harder at this food service stuff than we do here in Canada. Waitresses here put on a pushup bra and call it a day.

I'm also not sure what's with the uncomfotable close-ups on the others waitresses' faces. I guess it's to re-enforce the claustrophobic stalker feel. So that works.

I give this video a thumbs up! Good job, Tiffany!

Sleigh Bells - 'Rill Rill'

I like that song, I almost bought their album based on the strength of that song, but all the reviews say it's a deceptive single and the rest of the album is more like hard rock stuff.

Yeah - the rest of 'Treats' definitely has more of a hard rock vibe to it. However you might want to check them out anyway, if you like Rill Rill; they still sound like the same band, and there are a handful of other good songs on there.

For an example of a harder (but still great) Sleigh Bells song, here's 'Tell 'Em' (accompanied by hilarious fan-made video):

Thanks, I liked that one too. It's not too hard for my delicate sensibilities. It's like a Crystal Castles level of hardness and I listen that stuff. So I think I will grab this album.

She claimed she did it to change her image and show that she's "not fifteen anymore". I think her driver's permit would've proved that fine. But whatevs. She looks nice there, kinda like Lucy Pinder a bit but with a less symetrical face.

She said she had a really hard time explaining to her son why she did it though.

Whenever someone, even a child, asks an entertainer, "Why did you do that?", the correct answer is Sir Laurence Olivier's -- "For the money, dear boyt!"

MNDR - Cut Me Out

Those of you have Cinemax (or are more with it than me) might recognize this song already due to its prominence on one of their new TV spots. I searched google to figure out who sang it, which led me to YouTube, where I found this video I really liked:

I didnt really like the Spike Jonze action man vid for the Beasties. It was ok, but all a bit meh for me. Much prefer the Zombie Zombie one which uses the action force figures to reenact the thing.

Anyhoo, some shameless promotion, as its from a mates band. Im quite proud of him!

Here's a music vid I just put together. It's in two parts... It is 22 mins long, but trippy.

It should also give you a good idea of the Chinese landscape your simian friend inhabits. Albeit, I live all comfy in a tower in the city, full of state pensioned, retired teachers, well, that's if they haven't moved out into swish apartments renting their prior abode at damn fool high prices (China wise) to fools like me... but still. I shot it on a consumer HV30 HDV cam at 25p, at 1440 x 1080 and down-converted to 720p so its worth upping the resolution of the clip to 720p, and I edited the whole darn thing in After Effects, which was surprisingly useful for this task. Please don't watch if you happen to be highly inebriated, weed fine, booze, no. no. no.

Would it have been less disturbing if it was, say, Brad Pitt's head in the crotch of George Clooney, "screwing" the head of Scarlet Johansen in the crotch of Mila Kunis?
