London Calling, The Clash. I haven't heard it i n years and I'm surprised by the variety of musical styles on the album. "Rudie Can't Fail" makes me smile broadly.

Metronomy - The bay

Totally hooked on this tune at the moment. Its a fine bit of work all round, but the slap bass just gets me grinning.
Video is nicely cheesy too. (with a funky del toro nod to boot!)

"I Am A Poseur" by X-Ray Spex. In those days, if the lead singer couldn't actually sing, and was not even in the vicinity of attractive... it was somehow OK. It'd probably all be autotuned now...

Alas! For this knight's lust for Metal most true hath been sated by ye masterwork by High on Fire:
De Vermis Mysteriis!

Image

Before ye thunderous conclusion to this masterwork:
Thou shalt forsake'eth all trappings of this world, with only need of a trusted blade by thine side!
Thou shalt hunt'eth thine own food, and wear'eth pelts of ye slain upon thine back!
Thou shalt defecate'eth upon ye twisted, cooling corpses of thine enemies!
Thou shalt ravage'eth wenches in a manner that woulde previously hath shamed thee, if thou had dared to dream it!

...and all with ye marauding Metal of De Vermis Mysteriis ringing within thine most thankful ears!!!

This post now concludeth!

Found some old cassettes!

Georg Kreisler and one of those Peter Maffay dragon children's musicals, oddly enough with a mixture of Herbert Grönemeyer and Nina Hagen  recorded on the B side.

Who hid this stuff in my room?

I'm assuming you found a cassette player with it? I just threw out a Walkman cassette player I found in my basement. I couldn't think of any reason to keep it.
