Nope... You just install the plugin to whatever you play music with on your computer... It reports back what you are listening to and it builds playlists makes suggestions etc, and the cool part, would be you could listen to a radio station created from the reports it has pulled from the various AICN members... Not that that station is working for me, still there are plenty of other theme stations I can get to work...

Thanks for tagging KeepCool. According to the site we just need to tag more songs 'Radio Phantom Zone' ( I do not know how many ) and eventually we will have a streamable Zone radio station. I think you may have to upgrade to listen ( $3 / £1.50 a month - you can pay month by month for as many as you like or just one if you wish )

hahaha
good!

but seriously, if you really want to hear my long boring story, here goes. i will try to streamline it

i had winamp LITE installed originally, because i didnt want any of the other shit that im sure would have been installed on my machine if i had've gotten the full version.
i downloaded the audioscrobbler plugin
i installed the audioscrobbler plugin
i read the readme file, according to it, when i open winamp and play a song, its supposed to work on its own.
nothing.
ok, so i download the FULL version of winamp, because of the media library thing, i think.
i uninstall audioscrobbler
i reinstall winamp
i reinstall audioscrobbler.
now, whenever i double click an mp3, my shit locks up.
i uninstall audioscrobbler
i reuninstall winamp
i reREinstall winamp full, however i unclick the choices it gives me for things that i think were locking it up to begin with.
so now, no audioscrobbler, and i can only play mp3s if i open winamp first, and then click the top, select play, then file. or if i make a playlist. if i double click an mp3 icon, my system locks up.
now, i run norton internet security 2005 on my system, and its a real bitch. my system has never performed well since i installed it. but im not taking any fucking chances. but i surmise that norton is responsible for my machine locking up. because everytime i was trying to run winamp with audioscrobbler, it would get hung up on the "nullsoft trying to access internet" box. i would always click "permit always", and it would lock up. im thinking about just having my tech get in there and try to figure out exactly what the fuck is going on. also, my cdex program doesnt work anymore either.
any suggestions
other than putting 2 rounds of buckshot in that bitch?

The global tag radio 'Radio Phantom Zone' is now streaming!

It's mostly tracks/artists from me and KeepCool, so if you want your tastes on there, start tagging!

I think you can only listen after upgrade, but it does not cost much.......

I think you can listen anyway...but then again I'm on motherfucking dialup so I wouldn't really know. I've been tagging diligently though like a good, pettable little furry cat thing. That is brown. And very, very sleepy. And that knows it's superior to all puny humans.

Don't forget to tag some of your favourite stuff 'Radio Phantom Zone' - as a station it's fairly eclectic already. My last ten tracks from the station:

Interpol - Leif Erikson

M.I.A. - Hombre

The Flaming Lips - A Spoonful Weighs a Ton

Radiohead - Everything in Its Right Place

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth

Bloc Party - This Modern Love

At the Drive-In - Give It A Name

Charles Mingus - Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am

Ultra Vivid Scene - Thief's Love Song

Beck - Already Dead

I am going to tag more hip-hop as the station is a bit lacking in beats at the 'mo.

Thanks for all the jazz KC.

It's a really chilled set of tunes, with a few heavy rock outbursts - a good mix for listening to whilst posting on the zone.

I noticed that with the list you posted on our page, will try to tag more hip-hop as well, just added Viktor Vaughn's Vaudville Villain to the mix...enjoy.

I'll be a subscriber soon enough, can't wait.

was that me? I don't think I've tagged too much jazz, but I'll take the compliment.

I switched over to winamp, and installed the plugin, so now I'm listening to my own stuff, instead of gorging on various radio stations... am I meant to tag my own stuff somehow? Or does it just recognise what I play? I'm logged in and everything...

EDIT: It's alright, I realised they are showing up in my tag editor...

i will however beam with pride over the cold crush bros., figured you would appreciate that V_B. went on a bit of a tagging binge yesterday, got 78 tracks that are streamable now, out of my 141 total tags.

Personal radio is fucking excellent.

I only signed up so I could listen to the tag radio stations. Bar that you can see who has been onto your page. I think they are introducing more perks shortly.

I just thought it would be cool if we all tag our favourite stuff with the same tag, so you can post on the zone while listening to other zoners musical tastes. Plus it was bound to be an eclectic mix, which is the kind of mash up I love. It is proving to be a cool station to listen too. I hope everyone tags some more tunes with the radio phantom zone tag.

Cheers to Tubbs for getting us all to do it.

You can listen to the Hairy Nobs on Last.fm now. I suggest the songs "2.35:1", "Romance in the Workplace", and "...And the Cross You Rode In On" if you want geekiness. Though it features in most of it.

I've been in the dark, stormy land of LiveJournal. Now I think I can balance that with the Zone. I think.

Basically, seeing Black Devil Doll From Hell made me want to return. Somehow. I doubt many even here have seen it and I want to spread the shot on video love.
