I can play Jump on the piano (solos included) and have been able to since I was 9 years old in 1984. I was so cool for like a month back then.

Sigh.

Not sure if this is presently or all time.....

All time, never to be topped.....

AC/DC

It's two fold. The radio industries insistance on playing " You shook me all night long" like it is the hip new track....... by the way it was OK the first six billion times I heard it, now it just blows.

And secondly , to quote Vegeta - They have a total unwillingness to do ANYTHING different for the last 25 years....

Done and Done.......

I don't know who the band is, but here in the LA area, before movies, they have been showing this video for a song called "Citizen Soldiers" or something like that, and it's also an ad for the National Guard. Anywaym whoever that band is? They suck.

I think it may be something called Three Doors Down.

i don't know who the band is, but whoever does this song is the worst fucking band or rap group or whatever they are that i've ever heard in my life.

So you meant to say the worst band ever did 'Back In Black' AND 'Highway To Hell?' Dude, seriously?

I don't hate AC/DC but they did originate a musical disease that Aerosmith more than happily contracted in the 90's - Almost every song of theirs has an identical twin song somewhere in their repertoire. Same chord structure... close to the same beat/groove.... different lyrics.

There clearly needs to be alot more bands on that list. If I had to choose though I would pick System of a Down. They just seem to scream alot - like alot of those crap bands back in the 80s.

i can't believe you have Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins as options. You need some serious school in music, kiddo.

I think AC/DC has the "played to death" element to them. Maybe they don't get the airplay as much in the UK, but here in the US they play AC/DC like it's new.

Thanks fo the quote their cap! Another band that I think is so overrated for pretty much the same reason as stated by cap is The Ramones. Talk about a band that found one sound and literally drove it into the ground.

1,2,3,4...

Xiu Xiu

Fucking dude goes way too far into his drama. I hate the fuck out of his voice; he CANNOT sing. Period. The whispery then flaky groaning about the beehive in his backside (not clever), is just too much. Get over it, you're gay, it's no big deal. Quit being all fucking Allen Ginsberg about it.

Damn. I did not realize how much pent up hate I have for this band.

Well deserved hate.

Also, it's just a crappy version of Suicide.

Much as I love them, you can only get away with that kind of thing once. You've got to show Suicide even more respect because they didn't have a keyboard with 500 different "voices" to use, either.

Great band; mostly shitty imitators.

Is it just me or does it seem like Nickelback has like three new songs come out weekly?

See, it seems to me that what you are hating here is more the radio stations you listen to more than the band themselves. I don't like Nickelback, so it's no surprise I don't expose myself willing to hearing them at all - it's only on the odd occasion due to a radio playing at some place I'm working, or if I have some music video programme on tv, that I hear them at all.
AC/DC, perhaps not a shadow of their former incarnations, maybe they are just repeating a formula at this point, yes.
A band that sucks the worst? no way.

Same goes for the Ramones, obviously.

Part of the Ramones appeal is the gabba-gabba-hey anthem thing; I want every Ramones song to sound alike. They are not even in the same sport as shitbags like Nickleback

/but, that's, just, you know, my opinion

I'm with you on that, Uni, although their poppier and slow tempo stuff is good too. Just can't abide seeing bands like AC/DC and The Ramones lumped in with this particular bag of dicks.

Plus there's their doo-wop side on songs like Danny Says and Baby, I Love You.

Is it 'Hey little Girl'? or 'I wanna bee your Boyfriend'?

They do a great cover of 'Needles and Pins', too.

I agree, I think cap and myself are off topic regarding The Ramones and AC/DC... more of a most Most Overrated Bands than Suckiest. Apologies.

I won't have a word said against them, seeing as how I actually managed to see them play before they all started dropping off.

I think we can all agree that no matter how much Wes Anderson overuses the Ramones, Blitzkrieg Bop is nigh perfect.

Seriously.

I love that song.
