It may not explicitly be a 'love song' but I've always thought Aphex Twin's 'Avril 14' certainly is lovely.

The Vicar wrote:Almost any song by Greg Lake ( Lend Your Love to Me Tonight, C'est La Vie, Still...You Turn Me On, Closer to Believing) works.

Don't you find Lake's lyrics kind of ... terrible? I mean, laughably so?

Greg Lake wrote:Arrest the sun and shoot the moon
The lamp of laughter dies too soon
To live reflected in a spoon
Makes it too hard to stay in tune

Thanks. I have to change it soon. It's been my sig since shortly after the Crimean War, and it's kinda moldy these days.

"Body Breaks"- Devendra Banhart.

I don't know if it qualifies as a "love song" in the usual sense of the word, but it certainly could make one cry

And then any Patsy Cline song is a good love song. Especially "Imagine That."

I'm sorry, I love The Phantom of the Opera.

However, I thought of another song that should go here.

As Long As You're Mine - Wicked

And another song, I think is fitting is:

For Good - Wicked
**However, this song has to do with the love that exists between friends. A different type of love, but still love.

Loved Wicked. Quite the show, but Popular is my fav, a bit overplayed on the ipod lately.
