I remember that one. Kind of controversial in the mall-based record store where I worked.

Floyd's album covers are always great. Especially "Wish You Were Here," which someone posted earlier.

"Well, hey there Jim! Put 'er there! Gosh, I haven't seen you since you caught fire! How've you been?"

Someday I'll find a cure for internet retardation and learn how to post pix. Till then here's a link to the Museum of Bad Album Covers:

ok, so it aint a real cover, but i just stumbled across it and had to share.
I love how all of the roles in the band seem just right, especially the Kraftwerk keyboard section.

Those guys rocked! I didn't like their tricky concept albums period of prequelising before they were famous. The first one was o.k but the follow-ups sucked. Whoever remastered these needs shooting, they put in zaps and little whistles during guitar solo's!

and we have a winner!! but seriously, atute observation, as usual dennis. most of the artwork on this record was actually from the very first issue of B.S.F.U.C., entitled "a cotton candy autopsy". i actually got into that book because of this record. i thought it was wonderfully disturbed. the comic that is. i mean the record is wonderfully disturbed as well, so i guess its a good match.

Some haunting images that I won't put up directly.

In defense of The Coup, the album cover was done a couple of months before 9/11.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/keepcoolbut/coop.jpg

And Paris is so fuckin' hardcore (politically and sonically) that even tho' you may be offended upon seeing it, his heart is in the right place (if you're a liberal, free-speech lovin' antagonistic s.o.b that is)

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/keepcoolbut/Paris.jpg

Some others...

young Zev Love X had nuthin' else to do BUT read Marvel Comics after Elektra/Warner Bro. dropped 'em like a dime thru a sewer grate upon Zev's (aka MF Doom) controversial album cover...

Image

he was willin' to change it, but Warner Bras. didn't want any more controversy post "Cop Killer".
