The Halloween soundtrack by John Carpenter. I don't really need anything else, although some HIM and Rob Zombie would do.

If I was to soundtrack my Halloween, it'd be the "Suspiria" soundtrack mixed with a jot of Celine Dion and Shania Twain.

My God I love Kate Bush.
You've just exhibited you superior tastes by mentioning The Kate in your post.
You are to be commended.

Prepare to be both entertained & confused.
David Lynch strikes again!

Damn, I wish there'd have been a third season of Twin Peaks....

I disagree your Holyness, I am glad it was left at the total mind fuck that is the final episode.

Total mind fuck it was, no doubt.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling that if Twin Peaks had been a BBC production, we'd have had that third year.

But I understand Brother Lutz's mind set.
I do.
I just wanted a little more Lynch on my ABC station.....

I understand Lugz there too. Still, I have to agree with Vic. Fire had over an hour of footage cut out of it, I'd at least like to see that. My ultimate TP fantasy is that they make a sequel to FWWM. But Pete and BOB are dead now, and they'd both be greatly missed. Maybe they could set it entirely in the black lodge with Cooper, Laura and the dwarf and... *sniff* why'd you guys have to bring this subject up, man?

Anyway, Halloween music? I nominate "Fuck The Devil" by Blowfly...

I nominate "Timothy" by The Buoys.

Really wanted/want more peaks. Didn't know the guys were dead! Terrible. I would love to see the cut FWWM footage, didn't know there was any.

Any more details on TP series 2 DVD?

Oh and Monster Mash.

Enough of this incessant Twin Peaks bullshit that no one has bothered to discuss for nearly a year in the absolutely wrong thread. I need to beef up my halloween playlist and gimpboy's sucks harder than hell itself.

So SUGGEST ON!

I have a list, but I may not post it because a song nerd like KCBC would make fun of me, I am sure.

Boys and girls, it's nighty night time
Happy J the Clown has a nursery rhyme - Boogie Woogie Man by ICP

8)

Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie (Remix is super cool)
Bark at the Moon - Ozzy Ozbourne
The Omen song - AVE SATANI (still this song freaks me out) EVIL

Let's see...

Transylvania-Malice Mizer
The entire "Dix Infernal" album by Moi Dix Mois

Hey, anyone want a Halloween videos thread here?

Okay added Living Dead Girl Remix. Not a fan of Zombie, but it's nice for the Halloween playlist. Also added Ave Satani, but not Bark at the Moon (not really one of my favorite Ozzy songs. I do have Mr. Crowley on the list though, which I think is alot scarier.).

LaDracul, I could not find your suggestions.

Excellent choice, here's a couple more:

Murder Ballads - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
The Axeman's Jazz - Beasts of Bourbon - includes the creeping lament "You Think I'm Psycho, Don't you Momma?'
Hells Bells - I'd actually suggest the cover version done by The Dandy Warhols

LOL Couldn't find any of those (although I am particularly glad I could find the Nick Cave track for fear of liking it :( ).

Hey why not make a suggestion people can actually find? Or maybe provide a link?

How do you know whether you like it if you refuse to even try it? What is this, a 'give Burl Free music' thread?
By the way you can download youtube videos with a bit of knowhow, and then convert them from .flv files to avi and play them on your media player such as itunes.

Okay, I tried. I stopped at the 2:04 mark after the 177th gratuitous use of the term "mother fuckin'". You see, it's not like I haven't listened to Nick Cave before. I just don't dig him at all. I don't like his voice, his style of music, or his translucent skin. And he looks like Buster Poindexter, which is embarassing for both of them.

Heck no. I am just looking for suggestions to fill up my Halloween playlist. Which is important to me. As it should be TO US ALL. I take the suggestions and run them through iTunes or Amazon. If it's on iTunes and I like it, I will buy it. If it's on Amazon, I then begin an eternal debate as to whether I want to buy a whole album for one song, and then I usually think, NO IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

I actually thought maybe you might like the duets he does with Kylie Minogue and PJ Harvey on that album. Plus it's kind of dark and Halloween appporiate without being 'the monster mash'. Lemme see if I can come up with anything better...

After sampling everything Insane Clown Posse offers on iTunes, I decided Tilt-A-Whirl would make the list. It has a nice fall county fair kind of feel to it. Like I could be jammin' to this song while eating a caramel apple and a big studly turkey leg at the same time.

since I vaguely remember you saying you liked Deltron, what about Dr. Octagon?

i mean, isn't Halloween all about an extraterrestial, time-traveling surgeon / orthopedic gynecologist who has sex with his patients and nurses?

I am kind of meh about Dr. Octagon. I have it, but it's no Deltron 3030.

Uh can we make this less about my particular musical tastes and just post cool halloween/scary sounding songs? I will stop commenting on each one now.

Splattermania - The wildhearts

Nice home made gore montage on the yoootoob vid. The song name checks Evil Dead, Fulci, and a few others, but the video.... wow. just watch it. (uncut eyeball scene from Zombie Flesh Eaters is in there. Ouch.)

Heres something i just stumbled across that makes for a cool playlist.

Its a free mix from Evil Nine, one of my favourite electro duos, who happen to be mainly influenced by horror movies n shit. Some damn good albums too.

Starts off as 80's electro zombie/horror film music, then goes into nasty lofi VHS movie-rip darkness & ends in a typically evil nine silly fashion. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Tracklisting.......
1.Chariots Of Pumpkins - John Carpenter & Alan Howarth (Halloween III)
2.Theme From Friday The 13th Pt.3 - Hot Ice
3.Incubo 4 - Stelvio Cipriani (Incubo Sulla Citta Contaminata)
4.The Naked & The Dead - Andi Sexgang (Phenomena)
5.Trash's Theme - SSQ (The Return Of The Living Dead)
6.Welcome to Morningside/Hand In A Box - Fred Myrow & Malcolm Seagrave (Phantasm)
7.Dream Attack - Charles Bernstein (A Nightmare On Elm Street)
8.Surfin' Dead - The Cramps (The Return Of The Living Dead)
9.Profondo Rosso Main Theme - Goblin
10.Demon - Claudio Simonetti (Demoni)
11.Amityville (House On The Hill) - Lovebug Starski
12.The Dead Walk - Modern Man (Day Of The Dead)
13.Them From The Video Dead - Rabinowitsh, Marcel & McMahon
14.Dawn Of The Mummy End Credits - Shuki Levy
15.Nancy Tries To Leave - Jonathon Newton (Unhinged)
16.Excerpt From Chiller - Dana Kaproff
17.Hell Of The Living Dead Opening Titles - Goblin & G. Dell'Orso
18.Body Count Opening Titles - Claudio Simonetti
19.Delirium Opening Titles - Simon Boswell
20.Beyond The Door/Children Of The Corn Interlude
21.Apteosi Del Mistero - Fabio Frizzi (City Of The Living Dead)
22.Beyond The Door/Halloween III Montage
23.Kiss The Devil - Eagles Of Death Metal

find the mp3 here http://www.evilnine.net/downloads.asp

you need to register, just an email address and name, and there is some other cool free stuff there too.

Come Halloween, I plan to drive around the block in circles blaring out 6 Feet Deep by the Gravediggaz (best Wu Tang Clan album EVAR!) for about 8 hours. God bless car stereos!
