So, 2007. What are we looking forward to?

Me, Interpol. Can't wait.

Ditto. Radiohead too if they ever get their heads together.

Something new from Green Day.

I think Smashing Pumpkins are putting a new LP out too, but that might not be worth looking forward too.

Clipse got a new mix-tape coming out that'll surely embarrass and upstage the itty-bitty style you upchucked for a cheap buck.

Do not, I repeat, do fucking not let Pusha-T have that hot beat you spent your signing bonus on, 'cuz he's gonna make that song his own and anyone that hears his verse will have a case of explosive amnesia when it comes to whatever weak-ass rhyme you spit over the track.

2k7 Album List

!!! - Myth Takes - ****

Bloc Party - A Weekend in the City

Boris with Michio Kurihara - Rainbow

Brother Ali - The Undisputed Truth - ***1/2

Busdriver - RoadKillOvercoat

LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver - ****

Menomena - Friend and Foe

The Shins - Wincing the Night Away - **

Well a couple of big brit albums should be coming from kaiser chiefs and bloc party. So far I love the new track from bloc party, on mtv2 a bit.

Otherwise Pumpkins would be great to see what they do although I don't want to get too excited and then be dissapointed, as I have to remember, they have amazing tracks always, yet their albums are a mixed bag.

A huge album I am hoping for is Arcade Fire. Having a debut that kicked us up the arse and I hope the sequal is amazing to boot.

Radiohead would be good. I also wouldn't rule out anything new from arctic monkeys in 07.

Anyone know if UNKLE have anything planned? It's about time for a new album from them.

Also does anyone know if we are expecting anything from sigur ros? or will it be 2008 for them.

Oh and I almost forgot, I think we may get a manic street preachers album in 07. I will weep with happiness if it as good as the last.

Yeah did you get the 10 year edition? Great documentary about the choice of music.

Im loving this is my truth more and more, though liking the singles less and less.

Know your enemy I didnt like but I wish I had seen Lifeblood live. Song for departure is manics Vs ABBA.

Saw them at the holy bible 10 year tour. In eyeliner and feather boa.

If Radiohead and/or Green Day release something, then I'm looking foward to it. I'm sure Dangermouse will come out with about 17 more collaborations, about 1/4 will be great. I heard Reggie and the Full Effect are going to come out with something new (or did they already and I missed it?).

I know it may not be cool to say it, but who cares.

I get a thrill like nothing else everytime Metallica puts out a new album. I'm hoping for something great. I think they could really do some cool blues-sounding rock, and I'm hoping they put out something along those lines.

Besides, they finally got rid of Bob Rock (WOO HOO!!!). Rick Rubin is producing now, and I'm hoping he does some good stuff.

+1! saw them live the other weekend and very much looking forward to their new record - one of the best new(-ish) bands around.

Otherwise: Blonde Redhead, Low, and apparently Iggy and the Stooges.....

first two tracks off Sound of Silver are, in a word, fabulous.
ETA: make that first three tracks, with "North American Scum" perhaps taking the prize...

if ya' get the chance to see LCD, make it so. Smoking live band, two proper albums, a workout, one track mix for Nike that's getting year end best of album votes, loads of b-sides and re-mixes to choose from, and covers, covers, covers.

yeah, he's using a vocoder, but this pushin' 40 uber-Hipster sounds hungry, like he's maybe quit the post 4am lines, figured bumps were enough, started drinking less beer and getting serious about bringing the DFA aesthetic to the dancing indie kid masses his own damn self.

Fuck the young'uns, the old man on the scene is still the man on the scene...

The new Nine Inch Nails. Fuck yes.

And to be honest, I'm pretty curious about the new Linkin Park now that they're working with Rick Rubin. Those guys do have talent, their earlier EP stuff showed alot of potential, but their commercially released albums have been a bit sub-par (meteora was terrible).

I cant really think of any other albums that I know are coming in 2007, but as for possibles...

The new Eminem. I'm hoping Marshall hits this one outta the park. "No Apologies" from The Re-Up was great, hopefully a sign of good things to come.

New Slipknot, if they have the time.

New A Perfect Circle, I wish.

New Jose Gonzales would be great.

Thats all off the top of my head for now.

I love the hell out of Tubring. Saw them open for Mindless Self Indulgence and immediately picked up everything I could. I've also been a Mike Patton fan for ages so of course I dig Bungle, although I tend to mostly stick with California.

The other stuff I havent even heard of, but will definitely look in to.

dimnix - APC is pretty much done for. But Paz just released another solo album, and Billy is working on one as well, which I believe will have some people from APC who arent egotistical douchebags.

And as far as the new NIN goes, I believe it's already ready to be mixed. Allthough after With Teeth I'm not expecting much.

dude, awesome.

you should definitely check out the SC3.
im sure you know this already, but Mr. Bungle's Trey Spruance is the guy that produced Tubring's "Drake Equasion" LP. Secret Chiefs 3 is Trey Spruance's Bungle side project (or rather primary outfit now that bungle is deceased). and in comparison, many believe SC3 to be superior even to Bungle. possibly too experimental, and too much world music going on to be as "instantly accessible" for lack of a better term. but trust me, when i say that they are absolutely fucking amazing, and two years ago put out the greatest and most ambitious concept record of all times. absolutely fascinating stuff.

estradasphere are no slouches either. although, if there is a point at which estradasphere and tubring diverge as disciples of bungle, its where tubring take the trail bearing the crazier circus style, estradasphere would be their jazz equivalent. once again, great, great stuff.

you show much promise, young padawan!
