Jennie commented throughout the festival that she thought it was a myth that northerners are friendlier until the festival.

I thought this until... I met some northerners finally....and boy... I tell you... had the chance of moving nrth when I was young and.... jeez... it would have been EXACTLY the same as if I'd stayed int eh south.

Hey, guess what... the north has the same amount of wankers in the south!

Jeez... perhaps you're from an older generation than me but the whole north south divide was debunked as the gayest covnersation piece ever! :-)

I coudl tell you stories about of pure horror from the north and south and I could tell yo ustories of great human beings from both ends.

But you know what...

South is better :-)

Bit... actually a lot jealous about bloc party. Seen them once headline the tent at leeds when I didn't know the songs that well. Amazing. Want to see them again so much, the new album is great.

Kings of Leon I give or take.

Well well, news ahoy!!!

James will be reforming and performing a full UK tour including Brixton academy on April 27th! I want to go, so who else will join me.

So far the only two bands I always wanted to see but failed to are James and Smashing Pumpkins. So I am hoping all will be remedied.

Other news is that Hammersmith Palais is to be demolished..
http://tinyurl.com/27ml5n

and that The Who have said it looks likely they will play Glastonbury.

You won't regret it! :) Tony recommended to it ages ago, then a close friend, so I folded and bought it.

Actually all of the recommendations I've had here have been uniformly top notch. The AICN crew are to blame for my resurgence of interest in music!

I checked the ticket and coach packages, they just send you through to the payment page, so I have no idea which tickets are included? Might be an idea to call and ask about those ones.

Eavis has strangely confirmed 3 acts. Arcade fire, Arctic monkeys and Bjork!!! Though she is not headlining. I cannot wait.

The who headlining one night, but who the other act are, Eavis has said they are the biggest band in the world, and that they are teasing him saying it could be their last ever gig.
Now, from that I doubt it will be a band reforming, as their would be no teasing, it would be an expected one off. So who is the biggest band? I know people say U2 are, Rolling Stones have been wanted for a long time but apparently always wanted too much money, but maybe? Also we know Radiohead are pretty much his favourite band. Muse are also in line to take over the world.

ALL CORRESPONDENCE SHOULD GO TO THE FESTIVAL RUMOURS THREAD.

There be another songs in the dark on feb 1st. Very top floor of a pub, feels like an attic, candlelight, good songs by the likes of jeremy walmsley, and a bit of poetry and comedy.

Me and tim went to one in the summer, was great.

Tickets are available for klaxons playing nottingham. £10 each, 08 May. I already have my tickets.

Also, at turnmills, there is a modular party, line up includes klaxons, hot chip, new young pony club, mstrkrft and a load of others. Mostly DJ sets but looks to be a good night. 24th of Feb.

There is also a gig in whitechappell by chris chinchilla on saturday and sunday that I am going to. Do not know which day I'm choosing yet.

As for manics, already preparing my eyeliner and dusting off my feather boa.

Just got this from MODULAR - might be of interest to fans of DFA 1979 and spanking good dance remixes - I'm looking at you mister tim
MSTRKRFT. They're on the verge of being absolutely massive and asked us
to organise a fans-only secret gig in a small club with an amazing
soundsystem (their official gig at our party at Turnmills on Sat 24th is
the fastest selling non-NYE party ever). Ahem, there's only one Plastic
People.

And their buddy Ajax (Australia's Number 1 DJ and electro trickster) is
also in on the action along with Casper C from one of our favourite
blog sites, Fluokids, and Modular DJs (fresh from their Paris gigs) .

We thought 'brilliant, that's a killer party'. But Vladivar had
different ideas.

"You can't have a secret party without free vodka! Idiots!"

So, yeah...

MSTRKRFT + AJAX + CASPER C (FLUOKIDS) + MODULAR DJS
@ PLASTIC PEOPLE, 147-149 CURTAIN ROAD, SHOREDITCH
WEDNESDAY 21 FEBRUARY
ONLY £5 on the door
9pm - 2am
*** FREE VOKDA FROM 9pm FROM VLADIVAR ***

Spread the word to your close friends. This gig will not be advertised
or listed in mags etc.

I'm going to re-post it in the hopes that someone might see it
