Hey, just seeing if anyone else digs these guys. They are my favorite band and I cant wait for their new album. They tend to sound a lot like Death Cab in some songs, even though they came out around the same time. These guys have been around for a long time, yet I havent found someone else who likes them.

That it is. Do you have all their CDs? If so, what is your favorite one?

Rob Crow is a prolific and wonderful songwriter. Though Pinback is probably my favorite band of his with Heavy Vegetable coming in second.

both of those bands are from right here in SD, if im not mistaken.

and i hate to split hairs, because im not really a fan, but "Gobiln Cock" has got to be his best side project, assuming Pinback is the primary, as i dont think heavy vegetable play anymore.

Yeah Heavy Vegetable don't play anymore though i think it's mostly the same as his "Other Men" project.

Goblin Cock was a funny/fun ass cd.

I'm a huge Pinback fan as well. Their entire catalog is worth picking up in my opinion, EPs included. I'll have to admit, I don't really hear the Death Cab comparison at all.

I also highly recommend Rob Crow's "new" solo album, 'Living Well'. I can't really see any Pinback fans disliking it, it almost seems like a progression or follow up to Summer In Abbadon in some ways.
I just want your music tonight

I think that was the name of the Pinback song I just heard yesterday. I couldn't make out the lyrics, but that chorus is nice and catchy...

Anybody have thoughts on the new album yet?

I think it might be their best.

Rob Crow is one of my favorite musicians, and I'm seeing Pinback for the first time in October.

Autumn of the Seraphs is on the same level as their other releases. It's beautiful.
