Chris Crocker -- the Next American Idol???

Postby TheBaxter on Wed Sep 12, 2007 11:40 pm

papalazeru first discovered this amazing talent in a heartfelt video posted here: http://zone.aintitcool.com/viewtopic.php?p=485879#485879

but as brilliant as that was, this guy isn't done yet. he's the gift that keeps on giving. listen to the brilliant "cover" version of britney's new song he does here... my favourite part is near the very end, when he puts his finger in his ear to help him harmonize on key. it really helped, i think. say what you will, he probably did more live singing in that video than britney has done in her whole life.

if this guy is not the essence of stardom in america in the '00s, i don't know what is. he's got zero talent and an insatiable appetite for attention, just like his idol, B.S. (and the same birthday too, apparently). he vaguely resembles john mitchell cameron aka hedwig, except whey more ghey.

if you wanted to know who was heir apparent to the Crown of Sanjaya as the next TRUE american idol...

it's chrissie, bitch.

As a Dumbledore guy, I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should be offended. And to what extent.

And whether the concept of offense applies. And the limits of taste and cultural acceptability.

And therapy, as in splitting firewood. And the possibilities of using the media as a tool for psychological experimentation. And the social value of lip-synching and black bikinis. And the sheer why of it all. And whether the crying is more appropriate before or after the twelve beers. And whether it really is all about Britney's kids and precisely how much money we could all rake in if we became therapists to them.

And so on. We are all, after all, seeking enlightenment.

Don't give this creep any attention. Otherwise, he will take over the world and there will be nothing we can do about it.

Crap. Too late.

She's like a baby queen at a drag show amateur night.
Bax, there's probably a bar somewhere in the town
where you live where you can go see 'entertainment' like this.
Absolutely unremarkable, except that his small town persecution story has earned him a cult following on the internet.

edit: I just read there are plans for him to have his own show on... MTV.

I think it's a testament to the stupidity of people when someone like that gets celebrity status. Honestly, Chris should be put in the corner for throwing a fit, not encouraged.

Who is Chris Crocker? OH - the dude who did Britney - didn't know his name!

Seriously, anyone who even auditions for this cheesy talent show seems to get some kind of stardom.

Is there an "I HATE AMERICAN IDOL" thread? I'd like to bump that. ;)
