Zoners' Theme Songs...

Postby havocSchultz on Thu Jun 29, 2006 12:49 am

sooooo...

If you were able to have your own theme song...

Something that played every time you "made an entrance" or something like that - what would it be.

And what would you choose as a theme song for your fellow Zoners.

Myself, I have always had a liking for "Hair of the Dog" by Nazareth...

Hmmm...for Kirk, I nominate anything by The Pussycat Dolls...

:D

I can see the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey playing everytime AB enters the room.

I am not sure what I would prefer for myself...perhaps someone else has some ideas.

I'm sorry, but I get tired of these sort of navel-gazing threads where the cool-kid Zoners have a ha-ha in joke with each other. Have you ever been to a cast party for the closing night of a play, but you weren't in the show? Its a lot like that. Is this really of "General Interest?" Maybe this kind of thing is more of a "shameless promotion" item?

I'm sorry to rant, but as much fun as these threads are for you guys, they're kind of alienating for the more sporadic Zone posters (like me). I dunno, maybe I'm just being a douche. (And I'm certainly not trying to rip on you, Havoc. I think your posts are swell :) )

ooooh havoc

I'd have Soundgarden's "Burden in my Hand"

8)

For Kirk, I think I'd actually nominate Green Day's "Basketcase" (or SP's Bullet with Butterfly Wings)
J-L should have a Weezer song . . . maybe "Say it Ain't So"?
Athena should have "Pour Some Sugar on Me" or "Welcome to the Jungle"

I'll fluff some more suggestions over later

A little defensive aren't we?

Don't worry man it took me a while to get a spot at the big kids table...and even now I am still on the edges. But honestly does it both you THAT much? I mean a few general interest threads compared to the hundreds of threads where ANYONE can come in and contribute instantly?

I think you just need to lighten up a bit...and enjoy your time in the Zone. We're a good lot if you give us a chance.

So WELCOME TO THE ZONE...with that in mind...

your theme song will be "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses!

Green Jello: Beware the Cowgod.

Ok, seriously, if I had a theme song that started playing everytime I walked into the room I'd want either:

Korn: Got the Life, or
The Smashing Pumpkins: Zero

I realize the lyrics to Zero don't make for a great theme song, but the guitar at the beginning kicks some serious anus.

that was my similar debate with Audioslave's Cochise . . . not-so-appropriate lyrics, but damn awesome intro . . .

On that note-
I nominate Saliva's "Your Disease" for . . . KCBC, because only an entrance with calves like his could do it justice

Hmmm after all that talk in the EFBR about Kirk wanting all the "hate" and what not.

I'd say either "Enter Sandman" or "Down With The Sickness" for him.

Athena "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police or "Rebel, Rebel" by David Bowie...it has just the right rock n' roll tone.

Mine would be between Ashes, by Pepper....and Don't Stop me Now, by Queen

7 Weeks would represent me because it's about someone losing the will to live and picking up the pieces.

Don't Stop me Now would also represent me because I always want things to go faster (only by manual labor....no poluting).

I would have Ass Up in the Air, by Baracuda, for Roy because he's as crazy as the song

Damn Iconny...you beat me to it with Times Like These. that song alone has cost me two speeding fines (and counting).

Hmm... I just know I'm going to change my mind a hundred times on this thread, so I'll start with either the opening to "Zoo Station" by U2 (I'm ready.....ready for the laughing gas), but at the moment I'm kinda favouring "Insomnia" by Faithless.

No, not the beginning....you just KNOW the bit I mean

And hey monorail? Dude - you've already got your own theme cued up!!

If I had a theme song it would be Loser by Beck. Not played fully the first five tones as some sort of jingle as soon as I enter a room would be sufficient.

My theme is a toss-up between 'Search and Destroy' and 'No Fun' - Iggy and the Stooges

Havoc's theme is 'The Logical Song' from the breakthrough album 'Breakfast in America', by the one, the only, Supertramp.

Iconny gets 'Bitchin' Camaro' by 'The Dead Milkmen', or 'Repeater' from Fugazi.

Lurker's theme is anything ever put out on those horrible Gatecrasher CDs

Athena - Crown of Iron by The Sword

Mine would be the Rohan theme from Lord of the Rings.

Or "Where the Streets Have No Names" by U2.

Or "The Joker" by The Steve Miller Band.

Or "Happy Valentine's Day" by Outkast.

Or "Bartender" by Dave Matthews Band.

I am just going to go ahead and call bullshit on all of the above - Your theme is "Theme From Love Story". You are too deep for anything less...

One of my current faves is "Love Train" by Wolfmother. Can't get enough of that song. It makes me want to strut everywhere I go.

I have seen Wolfmother twice now, and they fucking rock - seriously, see them live.

Also, Love Story.
