What Was The #1 Song The Day You Were Born...?

Sigur Ros is the greatest living band. Discuss.

Find out right here...

And then post your findings accordingly...

Mine was apparently Rock With You by Michael Jackson...
And it's a good thing I was a few weeks premature, cause otherwise I would've had a Captain and Tennille song instead...

"Centerfold" by J. Geils Band

...which I've never heard of.

EDIT#1: Okay I have heard it. I'd just not heard of them.

EDIT #2: If this was using the UK singles chart, then I was born to the tune of The Jam's "Town Called Malice". Which is far better.

Oh, jeez. This is embarrassing for us old guys. For me it was "Tossin' and Turnin'" by Bobby Lewis, apparently. I have never heard of the song or of the artist.
At least I missed Bobby fuckin' Vinton by a year.

It's an okay song. Basically the style that Bobby Darin was going for with Splish Splash.

Thank you, Zoners, for the kindness, tolerance, and enlightenment you've shared with me. It may not have been deserved, but it was greatly appreciated nonetheless. Soupy twist.

Oh, come on! It's not your fault! Everyone thinks the song that was #1 on the day they were born sucks. Unless that song was one of the all-time greats, and there aren't many of those.

So buck up, Bucky! Let fly with your birth-song!

Song on the day I was born, The Floaters - "Float On"

But from the list of people who share my birthday:

Born on 25th Aug:
1966 - Norman Rogers ( aka Terminator X, Public Enemy )

Buahhhaaahahahahahahahhaa.

I never knew that. Hermanator comes from being called Herman at school for my munsters like laugh, when my voice was changing, and it evolved into HX over time, from friends, and just stuck. but thats a fookin funny coincidence....

Extrapolating back 9 months to find out what was no 1 at my conception, I get Johnny Mathis - "When A Child Is Born"

I would have been happier with something a little more rock and roll.....
...and so forth.

1890: "Washington Post" by U.S. Marine Band.

Yes, I'm actually 119 years old. And the rumours are true, those USMB boys really were the Sex Pistols of their day.

There was a cool song called The Flying Saucer in 1956.
Couldn't get that one. Hells no.

What was spinning at Number One in the UK?

Which I don't think I know. Missed Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" by a year.
