Spotify

Does anyone else use Spotify? I got introduced to it recently and it's rather good.

Free music on your computer, from a growing catalogue, paid for by short audio adverts which occassionally play between songs (or you can get a premium account).

Best feature about it, I think, is you can build a playlist and then send it out to other users to play...like this:

Only problem is that it's very much constrained to playing only on your computer.

I'm guessing that's a giant NO then.

I actually just tried to hit up your playlist FG, but apparently Spotify's not currently available in the United States :(

I was not aware of this until now.

The service is currently only available in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the United Kingdom, France and Spain. Spotify Founder, Daniel Ek, has expressed a desire to launch Spotify in the US before the end of 2009.

Oh well. This thread will probably lie dormant for a while.

This thread has been dormant for a long time, but now that Spotify is everywhere I just wanted to say that I have an account and could totally get in on this

I have T-mobile as my cell service provider. Streaming music apps like Spotify and Pandora do NOT count against my data allotment. I use them occasionally, but not as much as I could/should.
