Putting a Toshiba hard drive on the biggest selling Blu-ray player... OH THE IRONY!!

King Psyz wrote:yup, that's exactly what it is. I'd wait til you get the mini van or something simillar to do the showtimes and make sure you have a full boost gauge.

I think Moriarty's favorite feature is the complete and utter brickification of the PS3.
Actually, that's not fair, his got bricked a month and a half ago. The new one he got in the mail was messed up from the start, and after the update it was a brick. Poor guy. Sony can be fucking stupid sometimes. My friend bought a refurbished PS2 back in the day, DIRECTLY FROM SONY. Then the network adapter came out, he bought it, aaaaaaaand... it didn't work. He called up, found out that the N.A. wasn't compatible with refurbs. Brillant, Sony. Brilliant. Took them 6 weeks to get him a new system that would work with it.

He was just unlucky. PS3's have a tiny failure rate compared to the 360s.
he was unlucky, AND sony screwed him over by trying to fix and send back the same PS3 instead of replacing it. it's obvious the one he got back wasn't a new one, and wasn't really fixed.

Fawst wrote:Glad this thread got dragged out again, can anyone tell me what the deal is with PS1 backwards compatibility? Is it available on the 80 gig system?
I'd prefer to find an unopened 60 gig and just replace the hard drive, to get hardware B/C for PS2, but I'm specifically wondering which versions of the PS3 can play PS1 games.

Been thinking about picking this up but between GT5: Prologue, MarioKart Wii, and GTA IV I'm not sure my wallet can handle it all.

plus I find I buy less games when I'm signed up.
