THQ is No More, Studios and IPs Being Sold!

Not sure if people are following this, but it means big things for some of the video game industries biggest or most-anticipated IPs (Saint's Row, the upcoming South Park game, and more)

But, basically, it means that all of the studios and IPs under THQ are being auctioned to various studios.

Strangely, nobody bought Vigil Games (creators of the Darksiders series) at the auction.
They've had to close down and look for other jobs now.

Platinum Games said on twitter that they'd like to buy them, but they haven't taken any steps towards doing so.

Backup bidder: $250,000 Turtle Rock Studios, Inc.

Volition (studio) and Saints Row (IP)
Winning bid: $22.3 million - Koch Media GmbH (Deep Silver)
Backup bidder: $5.4 million - Ubisoft

Homefront (IP)
Winning bid: $544,218 - Crytek GmbH
Backup bidder: N/A

Metro (license), which includes 2033 and 2034
Winning bid: $5,877,551 - Koch Media GmbH (Deep Silver)
Backup bidder: $5.175 million - Ubisoft

South Park: The Stick of Truth (license)
Winning bid: $3,265,306 - Ubisoft

WWE (licence)
Bought by 2K games (Take Two) before the auction for an undisclosed amount.
