X-men anime credits clip

Postby Neo Zeed on Thu Dec 22, 2005 1:29 am

It's a brief anime clip that served as the credits to the '90s X-men cartoon. Click the link http://members.aol.com/drg4/xanime.html

Then click on the image of Wolverine below on the page to download the anime sequence.

Enjoy :D

X-men anime credits clip

Postby bastard_robo on Thu Dec 22, 2005 9:07 am

I rember that!

That was some sick shit!!!

If marvel ever bothers with another Xmen cartoon that relys on continuity from the books, IT MUST BE DONE LIKE THIS!

BTW.. WHEN THE HELL IS THIS SERIES GOING TO BE ON DVD!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah! Think if marvel writers handled the scripts and let Japanese guys do the animation like Ninja Scroll.....it would be a fanboys wet dream!

I also like how they unexpectedly threw in Cable in there. You could tell they had fun :D

I always love old 80's and 90's Cartoons that had great animation in their credits but lousy stuff during the show. Like the Bionic-6 or the GI Joe movie.

That animation rules. You think they could do animation like that for an actual episode, by now?

PS Hey, anyone remember Pryde of the X-men?

This clip is especially fascinating considering how notoriously bad the animation was for this show. If only they had outsourced the entire show to Japan....

Now that's some outsourcing I'd be down with!

I also remember Pryde of the X-men having animation better than the '90s FOX cartoon. I'm not sure....Maybe you can answer that one perhaps, 'ol Garbage Man?

My memory's a little hazy, but I think you may be correct. It also gains bonus points for having Colossus and Nightcrawler, both of whom made far too few appearances on the 90's toon.

The voices, on the other hand, were much better on the FOX cartoon.
Pryde had some godawful voice work as I recall, particularly Wolverine.
The theme song was goofy as hell, too.

Still, it was pretty good for its time, and I'd watch it again if I could find a copy.

This brings back memories...Here's a clip of the intro

Konami made an Arcade "beat-em up" video game based on this cartoon. It was 6 players and it was awesome! Anyone, else remember this? :D

I loved that arcade game! I must have pumped hundreds of dollars into it, playing as Wolverine.

And I loved the level where the X-Men kicked all the Jedi's asses and Phoenix ate the sun!

Wow, now this brings back memories! I loved both those games! The worst thing about the X-Men game was getting stuck with playing as Dazzler. Nightcrawler was the most powerful character, if I remember correctly.

Funny you should mention it, I just played this game the other day. I'm happy to report it was still as fun as I remembered.

Holy shit, I LOVED this game. I beat it with some friends at a birthday party once. We had six of us there and one of the parents kept just shelling money into the machine.

When you finally get to the end and beat Magneto, we almost collapsed... and then it turns out it's just Mystique and you've gotta do the whole fucking thing again.

So much fun.

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!

Me too! I always played as Nightcrawler, since they didn't have Beast. I don't know how much money we popped in that thing to beat it...

Man, memories...

First time I ever discovered the game was on vacation with my dad, right at the age where we were starting to really bond. Great memories. I was always Wolverine, he was Nightcrawler.

On a side note, remember the sound Colossus made when he did his power, that roar? I can still do it to this day. Anyway, I went to the X2 premiere at Mann's Chinese, and every time Colossus would appear on screen, some kid in the back would do it and we'd all laugh our asses off. Good times.
