So basically, my GP's are centered around movies with sex in them...
Unfaithful
Fatal Attraction
Basic Instinct
Showgirls
Mullholland Drive
9 Songs
Lie With Me
Plus a bunch of others... including a very selective array of straight & shemale porn.

I love it...cracks me up - but the only human being I've found on this green Earth so far who liked it was a fully-paid up member of the Trekkie phenomenon (he missed the last con because he couldn't choose between going as Borg or Vulcan).
Is there Irony in his finding it funny? Let me count the ways....

I love any movie where Shatner send himself up and that is one funny silly turn he does in that movie. My friends and I quote lines from it to this day but then we feel like trekkies when we do.... and we actually don't care.

Ah, good to see I'm not the only Garofalo fan here. I love her name too. "Janeane Garofalo". Don't know why...just sounds good

The movie is funnier than hell.

All that remains is for me to ask - did you too start shouting "Not up the nose NOT UP THE NOSE" near the end, that scene in the back of the car?
Ummm. No, nor me neither. Ahem.
But you got me thinking now...and yup....I'm going to nominate "The Lair of the White Worm" as well.....there...that should do it.....

Agreed, that movie is hysterical.
How about The New Guy, too?

I think it's great, which is why I own it! True, it rips Indy off something incredible, but it's Sommers only truly spaztastic movie. Cracking pace, nice lines, a cast with their tongues firmly in cheek. It's funmuncious with a double topping of crazy sprinklins.
AtomicHyperbole wrote:The Mummy is an example of a GOOD popcorn movie. Completely derivative, sure, but was straightforward and the cast looked like they were having a good time. No pretentions to be anything else.
The Mummy Returns... that was a mess of ideas trying too hard...

Yes, THAT return was one I could've done without.
