"Wonder Showzen" Season One

Postby buster00 on Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:26 am

MTV's "Wonder Showzen" Season One drops on your head like two tons of tittie milk Tuesday 3/28.

"Wonder Showzen," as anyone who stays up past his or her bedtime will attest, is one of the only things on television worth a tin shit...and certainly one of the only things to keep justifying MTV's existence at all.

Now, I've never had the pleasure of catching a stage production of Avenue Q, the equally evil "Sesame Street" parody which debuted first. All I know is: "Wonder Showzen" makes me laugh until I pee my pants and sacrifice my neighbors to Satan. I go through a lot of pants and a lot of neighbors.

Have any of you seen Avenue Q? "Wonder Showzen"? Both? How do they compare? Are you hyped about the DVD, you consumer slave? How do your neighbors taste? Do you have recipes you can share?

I haven't seen Avenue Q, but I've heard the songs from it, and if the songs are any indication, it's nothing at all like Wonder Showzen . . .

could be wrong though
"Serves you right, Cartman, you're a sell-out!"
"I'M NOT A SELL-OUT! Wait- What's a sell-out?"
"Anyone in the entertainment business who makes money, is a sell-out"

WONDER SHOWZEN is the best show you've never seen in
your life.

I have no idea why it hasn't been promoted more vigorously,
or why there aren't more rabid fans of the show because it
is quite simply drop dead insanely fucking over the top offensive
psychoticly hilarious. It makes SOUTH PARK look like
THE CARE BEARS. (Yes, its that crazy / transgressive.)

This show and and ANDY MILONAKIS (sp?) SHOW are the only
reasons anyone should have for ever tuning into EmpteeVee...

This girl I work with had a friend that died driving drunk. She said she saw a commercial that had a home video of a young girl dancing, and then it said "Tiffany Jones died September 12th of a drunk driver.. THE SAME DAY WONDER SHOWZEN PREMIERES".

She went on to tell me how much that offended her, but I was trying really hard not to laugh, because that joke is golden.

It's actually a parody on the drunk driving commercials. They show the child and say the kid "killed a drunk driver" . Any show that has a puppet and little girl taking a rocket ship to heaven, killing god, and then turning him into BBQ is top notch in my book.

holy christ, I just found this gem. How did I not see this before now? Am I losing touch?

This is the best thing ever, with the exception of The Church of The SubGenius.

Bumping to hip y'all to the arrival of the Season Two DVD this Tuesday, 10/10.

And ask: why the hell doesn't this show seem to be on MTV's schedule anymore?

As I understand it, the fellas who do Wonder Showzen actually hate MTV, Think they're a bunch of tools for being a popular MTV show and are trying desperately to get cancelled. They thought sure as shit that Horse Apples was gonna be the final nail in the coffin, but it turns out people loved it. Maybe thier contracts finally ran out and they don't have to renew. Maybe they finally found a way to get MTV to can them. Maybe thier being sued by the parents of the children correspondants. That is the mystery that is Wonder Showzen.

I dont get it, I love the premise of this show, but I just dont find it entertaining. I found Kid Show much more fun.
I'd love some feedback on my site:
