And the Brotherhood of the Illuminati shall use the planetary anarchy resulting from WWIII to establish a totalitarian New World Order under the guise of "restoring order and maintaining security, for an indefinite period of time". And we still won't get to read Ultimates 2 issue 12. :(

The coverage I've seen on Ultimates 3 and especially 4 makes me sad. The artist of 4 (some lame hack whose name escapes me) said he "can't" draw the big Iron Man armor, so it will be small and sleek.

Fuckwad.

Hey guys, my name's comawhite, and I'll be taking over for TheSumOfGod. I'm a "good friend" of his, and he won't be able to keep you up on the latest Ultimates news, since he's tied up in my basement for the rest of his life.

First, about Ultimate Wolverine versus Hulk issue 3:

Image

FORGET ABOUT IT! It's never coming out. They say issue 3 is due out late October (it's already 6 MONTHS LATE!), but the Lost hack writing it hasn't even started writing it, so forget about issues 4, 5 and 6 as well. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The cover of issue 12:

Due out September 27th. Millar said on his site that's it already ready, so even if it's late, it'll come out at the beginning of October latest. Yay! :D

And even though this is from issue 9, it still deserves to be re-posted:

I'm sure I read that Joe Q said Lindelof had bitten off more than he could chew, but issue 3 script was written and they are just waiting for the artwork. I'm reckon we will get the last 3 issues in '07.

Even better then that -

Joe q @ CBR wrote:Quesada said that he has recently spoken with writer Damon Lindelof, and he is currently working on the final two issues of Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine, and that the writer’s work on Lost ate up his time, which caused the delay on the miniseries.

So we will get to read 4, 5 & 6.

From Comics Continuum:

ULTIMATES 2 #13

Written by Mark Millar, pencils and cover by Bryan Hitch.

"Grand Theft America." The concluding chapter of the Millar/Hitch tenure on Ultimates has finally arrived! All the running plot lines come to their cataclysmic end in these pages as the Team Supreme puts everything they've got into a grand finale that will take its place alongside the finest comics of the past decade. Alliances are made and relationships are severed in a tale.

48 pages, $3.99, in stores on Dec. 20.

I guess at this point 3 months between issues is to be expected.

No, the Ultimates vol. 2 will have 13 issues...just like Ultimates vol. 1.

The two story arcs in Ultimates vol. 2 are 6 issues long...with issue #13 acting as an epilogue of sorts...wrapping this up, so to speak. I believe the preview for issue #13 says "part 7 of 6" or something to that effect.

Sorry, I was too busy following up the Fanne Flagg/Unification Church connection.

I've seen thousands of movies. Equilibrium is very highly rated among fan-types, not so much outside supposed geekhood. There are many better movies I've yet to see that are higher on my priority list.

#12 has finally arrived! So what did everyone think? For me, I thought it was a decent issue, although it had too much of an "Authority" feel to me. In the 11th hour everything turns around.

I found it a little hard to swallow that the tide turned that easily. I liked seeing the Hulk in action, but disliked seeing Hank Pym being his usual jackass self. I think he might have needed a little 'tender loving care' from the Hulk too.

This comes from CBR's Lying In The Gutters

I understand that the next issue of "The Ultimates" is going to have one of those massive fold out splash page/panel things -- and at 8 pages wide, it's a new record.

Might take a while to get right, though…

Take it with a grain of salt...but this could significantly delay the release of issue #13
