I do really well on certain maps & really crappy on others....

It also depends on the people who are on my team...
I think some of us work better together than others.... (I dont like playing with people who dont have headsets or who just refuse to talk/communicate during game play)_

I have definitely gotten better & I have had my share of killing fellow zoners... But I still have much more improving to do...

Sushi is absolutely rank match worthy, me ... not so much.

Last night I was on Sushi's team and we were playing the mansion map, anyway all I know is once everyone was dead and all could communicate - Sushi asks, clearly frustrated "Trevor, was that you who jumped out like that?" and I knew right away I had disappointed him, which felt horrible. I was like "yeah, why what happened? what did I do wrong? please tell me?" but being the humble & nice guy he is he didn't beat me up about it at all.

Sushi is really good and just a lesson to all; if you play with him - you must listen to him. Because though he's not always the most talkative guy, he is the GOW master.

Coldfire its always a pleasure shooting you. You are definitely one of the better players we've met and the banter runs thick and pure when you're around - which I love. We've got ourselves into a couple games where the smack talk was either really annoying or just plain rude.

Oh lol dont worry. It was no big deal. Sometimes I forget its a simple unranked match because of the heat of battle. I get into that mode where I feel I must win at any cost. Every time I kill you (99% of the time) I feel bad. I feel bad about a million times a night (from constantly killing you). I would hope you felt at least a little bad killing me (hardly ever happens). Every bullet I fire is a bullet of love (and a stat on my score).

So check this out XBL'ers. I was trying to do that contest to get the free Fuzion Frenzy 2 game. I have over 10K (15,500+) points so I was eligible for it. So I literally bust my balls all weekend getting achievements for this contest. To win the game, you have to earn 1,500 points in a months time. I earned some of the most difficult achievements for this thing. The ones on Burnout are quite hard and time consuming. So I play for 2 days straight and almost finish the game. I go online to see how many prizes are available, and there was only 10% of the original games left. So im like...k....wth. I go into the forums and start reading about these people that went out to buy games like King Kong for free points. So I basically wasted my time because theres no supplies left and everyone took the easy way. Grrrr. Dont sign up! You will waste time.

And yes, I do own Contra. Makes the deal even sweeter. Those achievements were not only frustrating, but extremely difficult. Anyone who has played the game can relate.

Well my 360 died today. I saw it coming since I got the red ring of death a couple of days ago as well but somehow it managed to stay alive for a few more days. Called MS and the whole process will take 10-15 days. So don't expect me to play GoW for a couple of weeks.

I'm annoyed at how consistantly problematic these 360s are. I mean I knew coming into it that people had some major problems but I'm getting to the point where I think it would be a really good idea to wait 10.5 months (from time of purchase) then drop, kick, shake or do whatever to the stupid thing just so you can replace it (with a newer one) and revamp your warranty.

We had to replace ours 3 times already and that was just in the 1st month of buying it. I've been through this shit many times with Sony and my PS2 but this is too much and too often. A shame really because GOW is by far the best game I've ever played.

I thought a lot of the known problems were supposed to have been fixed already and their was a "newer" version of the system out that was supposed to be a lot less problematic, anyone here anything about this?

I'm sure newer consoles have way less problems, but this one was a refurb (my first 360 died in March 2006) and originally made in February 2006. Since I am sending it to MS I will most likely get another refurb and it will probably just continue in an endless spiral until I actually get a brand new one.

Hearing about all these problems online I figured it was a lot of made up stuff. But seeing as you all have problems I believe it now. It's strange from my perspective because I got mine on launch day and I havnt experienced anything major yet. On top of that I put so many hours on it. Look not further then my achievements. Hopefully they get you guys some quality consoles.

well to be fair the only problem we've had with this newest system we got is; whenever we first sign in and start up a room (in Gears) at some point before everyone arrives we always get "disconnected from xbox live" and need to sign in again and re-create the room.

Then again I just found out we have a couple squarrels in our attic, so for all I know they chewed some coaxl cable up there and thats causing our disconnect problem.

Anyway back on subject the 360 seems to be relaible given only certain unrealistic variables like; NEVER being moved, being stored in a place that is dust and animal hair free yet vented enough to not overheat

That ring of death thing happens NOT only when the system is moved while running but if jolted the wrong way (even when off!). Why microsoft supplies such an unstable rotation and reading tray for discs? I don't know, but you would think that after DVDs have been out for how ever many years and CDs were around for 10-15 years before that - that this ring of death rotation tray bullshit would be a problem long since solved.

Seriously when is the last time you had a regular DVD or CD player completely destroy a disc? Its just bullshit, complete and total bullshit.

OK sorry rant over!

BTW Sushi I suspect you've never had problems because you are likely a pretty graceful and cautious guy, which means you've never been rough enough on your system for it to get damaged BUT for me, a guy who just yesterday dropped and shattered the glass door from our set-it and forget-it by pure clumziness, I need something that can take a lot more hits. I've dropped my 360 wireless controller (on hardwood floors no less) 497 times since we bought it, but I've been able to replace 2 already without question.

I guess my point is, if a company makes super fragile electronics, they can count on that coming back to bite them in the ass. Then again this is Microsoft, so pretty much the only options here are; get used to it or get a PS3

It's strange. The first 360 i had went back because it was scratching discs. The second machine i got hasn't give me any trouble at all and it's in a room that's constantly got heating on, sitting next to an LCD that kicks out heat you could cook on.

I think all these problems might be down to electrical wiring or something. My room was rewired not so long ago but the xbox and tv is plugged into a surge protection box. Even the tiniest change in voltage can have adverse effects.
