As my real name is Elisabeth, you do not know how many people have half-drunkenly tried to sing that song.
I'd love it if someone got it right, lol.

I also don't know how cheesy she is - but ocasionally I get this overwhelming need to listen to
She is the queen of melodramatic love songs.

Youve been cryin
Your face is a mess
Come in baby
You can dry the tears on my dress
Shes hurt you again
I can tell
Oh, I know that look so well
Breakfast in bed
And a kiss or three
You dont have to say you love me
*nose quivers, eyes well up*
......don't look at me!

After dancing through Eyes Without a Face, Hot in the City and White Wedding I could barely breathe. It would probably have made more sense if they played Dancing With Myself though, seeing as how that's exactly what I was doing.

Oh yes- many a snot-nosed, bleary-eyed, hungover day with that one!

A wrong ballad song by the typically right singer, can be chronically cheesey, but only the cruelest, most miserly of souls could condemn Dusty, I would say.
Plus, there's the whole Retroactive cool thing of having her the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, so she's mostly safe, I think...

I actually had a girl in high school give the lyrics of this song to me in note form...
Needless to say, I ended up giving her "just a little more time" than she had intended.

I used to torment my sister (who's name is Sarah) by claiming that was a ballad originally written for Terminator. "It was for the original concept--when he wasn't sent back to kill, but sent back...to love."
She used to get so mad. I guess because she believes it was written for her.
They should have used it in Terminator. Played during the Kyle-Sarah love scene. 80's perfection.

'If you're not the one...' or as me and my brother reffer to it 'the stalker song'...
If you're not the one,
Then why am i in your garden with a knife...
