There's still a chance for it to be picked for "Film Books" in October or so...
thomasgaffney wrote:A tie so far. If Dale hasn't given up, maybe she can muster up another ERRB vote. If not, it'll come down to a quarter flip, like December's choice Sharp Objects...
Come on! Just 10 more Collapse votes!

But otherwise, the only poetry I think we can get a lot of people behind is the stuff of World Literature--Kalevala, Iliad, Beowulf, Russian poets, etc. And I think that would be a lot of fun and certainly doesn't limit our international choices.

Well, there are 6 pages of posts in the Poetry thread, so I figured we'd get some interest here. I'm not a big poetry guy, but I'm willing to check stuff out and learn more about it, personally.
But I'm also leaning towards something like Mystery/Crime, as Vegeta already posted some Dennis Lehane as a suggestion...
thomasgaffney wrote:I'm down for Poetry, as is minstrel and (maybe) LS. Looks like Vegeta is down for some Mystery/Crime.
Anybody else have any preferences?

Don't worry about me, do poetry if you like. Myself, I will likely not participate mostly because poetry doesn't do much for me.

Thanks for sitting on the fence there, Ribbons! It really helps!
Actually, I'm putting you down for Poetry as well. Looks like we got a pretty good showing for it already. But I'll come to a decision soon, before opening up the nominations for February's BotM...

I could throw in Margaret Atwood's 'The Door'. A collection of 50 of her poems.
I've always wanted to read 'Beowulf' too.
