I think considering not just your comments on her, Maui, but also the 2 Av status's above, that Susan Cagle is probably the most popular in the world, right here in the Zone. I think we should do a celebrity invite for her.

It might even bring thomasgaffney back.

Most certainly. Have your people talk to her people. I also have connections with a folk/yodeling group here in Berkeley, they may be able to put me in touch with the right folks to reach Cagle's manager.

I have to flip this. Ever heard the song Signing Emo by MC Lars? I don't have a link, unfortunately, but it's a song about the lamest thing ever: Emo. Ironically enough, it's the best Emo song I've ever heard. So anyways, go find that song.

Here's another one. I dunno the name. All I know is the chorus has

SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-icidal!
SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-icidal!

It sounds like Akon, but I could be wrong about that.

every time i go to the gym lately, at some point this horrible horrible fucking song comes over the PA system. this is one of the reasons i hate going to the gym, most people have ipods these days, so why do they feel the need to blast shitty music through the club? anyway, this song i absolutely hate and detest beyond words. i don't know what it's called or who it's by, just this one part that gets repeated over and over:

show me whatcha got, pretty lady
show me whatcha got, little mama
show me whatcha got, shortay

AAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

i want to kill that fucking song forever, and anybody who is in any way responsible or had anything to do with it getting written, performed, recorded, produced, marketed, sold, or played, i want them all to die a painful death and then be strapped down in hell and forced to listen to that refrain over and over for eternity. then they might feel some measure of the pain i feel every time i am subjected to that inane zod-damn song.

That song by The Shadow Puppets - it's basically a piss-poor rip-off of 'Knights Of Cydonia' by Muse. Infuriates me everytime it's on the radio at work in the morning, cos they DJs go on about how original and brilliant it is - and it's not original at all!! It's such an obvious plagiarisation (if that's a word) of Muse that I'm suprised Muse don't fucking sue them.

All of my co-workers love Ariel Pink, and it fucking kills me. "Are you going to look after my boys?" is the most anoyying song, with the exception of The Shags entire catalogue, that I have ever heard.

I want to beat this walking meth-sore with a push-broom stick. Fucking DOOSH. This is played, at incredible volume levels, during unreasonably early hours of the workday.

I never actually got around to searching out The Shaggs before today.

Damn you to seven hells, 'krunk.

On "My Pal Foot Foot" the drum sound is almost completely left channel. Clearly delineated, easily interpreted.

These people spoke English? They sound like they're singing phonetically and every syllable of the lyrics is matched to the same note on guitar. (EDIT: Well, it sounds like they tried - since the guitarists can't play, they can't keep up the melody.)

Damn you.

I also cannot STAND Shakira. "Hips..." Bleeeehhhk.
And the Pussycat Dolls - the first time I heard one of their songs in a store, I thought it was a joke. HA!

This isn't a specific song, more a genre, but death metal makes me want to pop in an avril lavigne or daniel powter album any day of the week. Well maybe not powter but you get my meaning. I don't see how that music fits in to any situation. Not at parties, not at night, not when your driving, not when your f***ing. There's just no place for it. Actually maybe a death metal f*ck would be alright, if your really pissed at the person.

I disagree.

Death Metal has it's place. Possibly I enjoy more the culmination of Death and Thrash.

Not that I could or would spend all night listening to this shit, like any music. I think there are very few types of music that I could spend a whole night to.

....unless it's abba and village people/

Some Death Metal bands are good.

I used to listen to Death all the time.
i listened to Leprosy exclusively for about a month, Spiritual Healing was pretty good too.

Although i'm not too fond of European death metal, Pestilence kicked a lot of ass.

Bless her soul, but pretty much anything my baby sister ends up singing [badly out of tune] I tend to automatically hate. Her latest wail-fest is, I think, a song called Bleeding Love. Bleeding ear-drums more like. Aagh!

Not the biggest fan of Deaf Metal, but then again, I downloaded some white noise file the other day that was supposed to simulate the effects of a mescaline trip, so what do I know?
