so sorry wrote:So I'm fast-forwarding thru last night's episode, and almost immediately something weird catches my eye. About 2-3 minutes in, when the contestants come out on stage and they are getting the standing ovation from the crowd, the camera pans to the audience, and right there in front is a bald middle aged white guy in a suit, sitting stone faced with his hands on his knees. I thought it odd, but proceeded with watching the rest of the show. Way later in the show, after Anoop sings like a girl, they are showing his parents reaction to something one of the judges says, and there's that bald guy again sitting a few rows behind them, with the same stone faced look on his face.
My guess is that he's got something to do with that Fox show Fringe. Can anyone confirm?

his eyes were less creepy than his grin. he should've worn a ninja mask.
RaulMonkey wrote:Yes! Quentin Tarantino is back tonight, this time as the mentor for "songs of the cinema." I didn't watch AI back in Season Four when he was on as a judge, but his involvement helped convince me to start. (I watched CANADIAN IDOL first--it was my gateway IDOL.) Ever since, I've rather wanted to see the QT episode, so this is the next best thing. I don't think I'll be doing any FFWDing with this one.

I can do a hair metal high note too and I can't sing anything (other than punk rock, which is supposed to be bad...) for shit. I can whisper for 3 minutes too and have it sound amazing, just like anyone else can.

And how DARE anyone say he "desecrated" a song by the man who desecrated "Hurt" by NIN? "Oh look, it's the pained old man singing about how he hurt himself BECAUSE HE'S SO FUCKING EMO." Yeah, DIAF, please. Oh wait, already dead, nevermind.
