Hey! You are on Nordling's Myspace! I am Megan aka Saffy.

It's Bravo reality show about fashion designers. It is so over the top and glorious.

that show is one of my guilty reality TV show pleasures. I was stoked when they had straight dudes on it last year, made me feel less queer watching it. now I just feel a little queer when I get into it.

Thanks, but I'll need a mop and a bucket. Seen the new Arena magazine? Yikes.

It's actually a really good show. Bravo has this type of reality show down to a science. Top Chef is equally as good.

You silly!

I think I did watch this show and it was good. They are normal people striving to be top designers. It was interesting. A nice change from lame rose ceremonies and hoochie mamas!

Hee. Me likey teh Klum.

I love how it walks the line between arty, concept programming and voyeuristic trash. They place a lot of emphasis on the designs and how they came to be, but at the same time, they're never afraid to make drama out of absolutely nothing.

Some of my favorite PR moments were in Season 2, easily the most dramatic and funny season. 'What happened to Andre?'

It was more than a moment, it was practically the whole theme of the season. Santino should've started doing stand-up after that shit.

Make it Work!

Postby Saffy on Sat Nov 17, 2007 12:41 am

Project Runway is BACK!! So.fucking.happy!

Man they have some batshit insane people!

Christian Siriano-Ahh, the little douche of the season. This little guy 1 part sonic the hedgehog and two parts swagger. But he is talented...sooo talented. But I have one caveat-he called someone else's work derivative? Christian! I think "NFL FOR HER" is a damn good designer and I can tell your design stunk of Vivienne Westwood.

Rami-You bad ass Israeli dress god you! His first venture on to the runway was an amazing grey toga dress which I would totally wear while ordering the death of my enemy by cutting off her face.

Chris March-You sir, are like Jay McCarroll if he was adopted by John Waters as a child and then brought up in a circus during puberty. I simply cannot WAIT to see you let loose in some half cocked " make your next outfit out of sugar cubes and various pharmaceuticals" challenge.

Elisa- BATSHIT CRAZY. When you were "imbuing your silk with the natural essence of grass" you gave me a moment on TV I will never, ever forget: Tim Gunn's " Is this girl off her med's?" face.
For that, I love you. Your dress, from the front, was STUNNING. From the back it was like the fabric version of Idlewild. I pray the TV gods will keep you around.

Carmen Webber: Look, I hope your edits are kinder. As it stands, you look like the type of woman who likes to make people cry. Which I dislike. I dislike it even more because I loved your first outfit. It looks as though you are getting the bitch edit. Tim Gunn has said he was scared of you...how can you make Tim Gunn scared? That is like kicking a kitten--People will light torches and burn your shit down.

Sad part is that is not even 1/2 of the designers. It is going to be a crazy season!

Project Runway

Postby Nice Marmot on Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:11 am

So any straight guy other than me like this show?

I am finding the new season really strong and intriguing. The judges are tougher, they are somehow keeping the challenges fresh and there's a ton of unintentionally funny guy crying and hugging. One guy practically balls every time he is safe, can't WAIT to see him get the boot.

I love this show. I haven't missed a season. Tim Gunn is fabulous and Michael Kors one-liners just keep on getting better (eg. She looks like a transvestite flamenco dancer at a funeral.). They are definitely getting some top notch guest judges too - this past week with Betsey Johnson.

While I like Gretchen's work, she is way too cocky however it makes for an interesting dynamic with the other designers as they all seem to hate her. I really like Valerie's work. Each week she comes so close to the top spot - she's definitely Gretchen's most serious competition.

Yeah, Gretchen is annoying. By the time she was actually reminding everyone to clean up their spaces I expected someone to go off on her.

For a second there I thought she was going to win AGAIN.

This is the first season where I've had a hard time telling what the judges will think. I think for every challenge there have been one or two designs they've totally gone against what I thought. And what Tim thought as well.

At least the judges were in agreement over that silver dress with the safety pins holding it together. It just boggles my mind that these designers would even think that is acceptable for this competition. You're OUT! Auf Wiedersehen!!!

Reviving this corpse of a thread to bitch about Yahoo spoiling the season winner on the front page. My wife and I actually watched it the night it was on (started late enought to FF thru commercials, of course) to avoid this kind of crap . . .

What percentage of TV viewers do you think use a DVR versus watching live anymore . . . ?

And if anyone watches the show, I didn't want the winner to win at all. Was only happy for said winner, because the person in 2nd place SURE as hell shouldn't have one . . .
