Man I have not done this in a while but after looking through all 9 pages of music and listening to Marty Robbins song El Paso got me wondering if this existed. I did not see one...

I love love love songs that tell a story. Does not matter what genre of music. From Regulate from Warren G to Stagger Lee I cannot get enough.

That being said, do you have a favorite story song? Have you got one?

Not really. Some speak of love and heartache and some of happiness but not all tell a story. I am talking about the ones that are like listening to a book set to music...

When it came to story telling songs, one can hardly do better than the late Harry Chapin.
A Better Place to Be or Mail Order Annie are great songs. Sure, Harry wrote Taxi. It wasn't his best, although its still pretty good.
Genesis, back in the 70/80s wrote a lot of very good story/songs. Fountain of Salmacis. Harold the Barrel.
