Sweet Mother of All That Is Good in the Universe, that looks awful. I don't even know where to begin to lay the blame, but I must ask again why they keep letting Dennis Dugan make movies. He must have photos of someone.

He's just killing time until Coppola makes another Godfather movie.

I remember reading an interview with Kathy Bates around 10 years ago or so (I think it was her), who mentioned how happy she was that "serious" actors like she, Harvey Keitel or Robert DeNiro now are "allowed" to appear in silly comedies, because most of them prefer to watch those movies over the serious dramas that they normally shoot anyway.

I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler, but I don't see anything wrong with serious actors doing dumb comedy. I'm sure it's great fun, and maybe they enjoy puncturing their own overblown images. And it's not a new thing. From what I hear, Gene Hackman practically begged Mel Brooks for a part in one of his movies, and wound up in Young Frankenstein.

And who could forget Marlon Brando's almost-happened-cameo in SCARY MOVIE 2, because he asked the Wayans Brothers to be in it? (He was supposed to play the priest in the beginning, but then he got sick and James Woods got the part.)
Also Denzel Washington said a while ago that he would love to do a Police Academy-ish type of movie, but nobody dares to send him scripts like that.
(Do you think that Cuba Gooding Jr just lived every Oscar winner's dream when he made BOAT TRIP?)

I think Cuba Gooding Jr. is currently living every Oscar winner's worst nightmare.
