I really liked Jesus, too.

Yeah. Serious bummer there.

- I didn't get the ending bit in the parking garage. Do we know who is in the ground there?
- Is Jason a werepanther now or not? If he is, the whole lack of him changing this season was weak.
- The wacky reverend is now a vampire. Great. Where's his wife?
- The almost anti-Authority revolution was over rather quickly!

My idiot mind says: Alcid really didn't kill werewolf scrawny dude, and that dog bites him in the parking lot. Jason is gonna get hairy on us, but get all self destructive and be too creepy for even blood sucker red head in the end. Preacher guy gets eaten by said Jason.

Now, I never read the books, so I'm wondering:
- why did sheriff junkie even bang that fairy in the woods? what does it have to do with anything?
- Is Erick and Bill gonna get all lovy dovey on each other and forget about Sookie?
- Is Lafayette gonna bring back Jesus and Tara in some way?
- Will Jesus' devil mask come back? (eww so cheesy I hope not)

Skimming through the talkbacks, it's Russell Edgington that was in the parking garage. I had forgotten they dumped him in there.

Fairies - the bit in the season opener where Sookie was in the fairy world didn't seem to have any long-lasting payoff for the season, except that it allowed a year to pass in Bon Temps. Then having Eric drain Sookie's fairy godmother and Andy have sex with the other fairy.... just didn't make any sense to me.

Bill & Eric - SERIOUSLY!!! I haven't seen that much homosexual tension since watching this video.

Another great part of the finale - Sookie + shotgun + Debbie. As much as I hate the character of Tara, I'm guessing Bill or Eric will come save her - and I'm fine with that. Sookie needs Tara.

angiechrist, I like the Sookie Stackhouse books quite a bit (more actually then TrueBlood, but I read the books first) but there is really on a passing resemblance to the books (usually main plot thread) but there are characters that in the books that are dead and in the tv show are alive, characters behave differently, different races, different motivations, etc

The Terry and old friend thing isn't in the books so I am assuming some PTSD craziness.

The fairy stuff is very different in the books. They are multi-dimensional beings who can pass back and forth. Claudine actually lived in Bon Temps and dies later in a fairy war that sookie gets caught up in.

I am interested in seeing what they do with season 5. They have already changed a great deal of things that cause book 5's plot to actually happen. It will be interesting.

LOL... I don't think she is going anywhere. It didn't appear to be the case in some of the articles I read about the season.

I'm finding this season really fun in spite of things getting over the top & goofy.

I'm intrigued to find out what's up w/ Terry & company. Curse? Demons?

I'm thinking vampire Tara will be all calm & collected and all the haters will be able to take a rest. I'm in the minority & never thought she was that annoying. Although, the writers who came up w/ her lesbian cage-fighting stint should be smacked around a few times.
