Admit it:You bought the Spongebob Square Pants Movie score

Postby brainiac on Thu Dec 29, 2005 10:18 pm

The top 10 Soundtrack CDs from 2005 that people actually shelled money out for:

#1 Ray
#2 The Phantom of the Opera
#3 Garden State
#4 The Longest Yard
#5 Shrek 2
#6 Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
#7 Get Rich or Die Tryin'
#8 "American Idol" Season 4: The Showstoppers
#9 The Spongebob Squarepants Movie
#10 Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again.

Vote in the poll if you bought one or even vote if you got one as a gift or are going to buy it.

Then tell me, is it any good? Should I buy it?

I bought the Wicker Park soundtrack this year. I didn't buy Garden State's because I have most of those songs on other CDs.

Rushmore has a great soundtrack but, strangely enough, it doesn't have "I Am Waiting" by the Rolling Stones on there, which was one of the better songs in the film. Eh well.

Personally, I'm an atheist in the voting booth and a theist in the movie theatre. I separate the morality of religion with the spirituality and solace of it. There is something boring about atheism.

i though the Batman Begins OST was a bit lacklustre, there isnt really a defining theme which stays with you, thats my only critiscism of the film.

I had to get ep 3 OST, battle of the heroes!!! what a track

Nothin'. I'm still waiting to buy High Fidelity. Pathetic, am I not?

On the other hand, I did finally grab Peter Gabriel's Shaking the Tree while I was Tower the other day. Not that it has anything to do with soundtracks, except that "In Your Eyes" is on the soundtrack to Say Anything ..., "Shock the Monkey" was in Project X and "Solsbury Hill" was in Vanilla Sky, In Good Company and about a dozen trailers.

I picked up the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack...and actually had a bitch of time finding one around town for a few days! For a couple of weeks after the movie came out, it was sold out all over. I'm glad Elfman got a Grammy nom for it...he should get an Oscar nom too.
