Mmm, the production on that...

Swoopy, funky brass section, dark tinkly ivories, pepperings of keyboard kink, quivering sexpot strings, marauding mountains of milfy monosylibic maracas ...some chimey things...

And yes.. yes... handclaps, doglips.

Handclaps.

you've probably all seen this, but I liked all the videos on this website which is Tom Delonge's (formerly of Blink 182) most recent efforts and sparkly website. I fucking love that guys voice, but tbh I like the contrast of his and another voice. Or maybe he should try a duet with a female, that would probably kick ass. But these videos were pretty cool, I recommend checking em, I enjoyed them.

I hope you do too :D

So is that the song's official video, or did a filmmaker sit in on a Citizen Cope performance and cut together a bunch of disparate footage of his own?

EDIT: Here's what the director had to say on TooYube:

This is a music video I cut together using live in-store footage (Music Milennium in Portland, OR), some footage from his EPK and the actual song from his CD. This was done in an effort to work with Cope's company as a favor for them agreeing to let me use his single "Fame" from the same album in a film I directed a few years ago.

I wonder if the company accepted the video. Or even released the song as a single, for that matter. Pretty interesting though. The setting certainly helps to enhance the whole 'mellow' thing.

I really like the song. Thanks for the link, Garbagio.

I just realized that there is no Radiohead on this thread. And that is a shame as I have loved all of the vidos that I have seen. So here they are...

Radiohead - No Surprises

Radiohead- Karma Police

Radiohead - High & Dry

Radiohead - There There

My pleasure. I don't know if Sideways was released as a single but I do recall hearing it somewhere before getting the album, so it's possible.

Incidently, his third album, Every Waking Moment, was released yesterday and you can listen to it for free on his official site.

I dont know if anyone has seen this video or if it has even been recommended on this thread but I just saw it for the first time and I was really impressed. Disturbed did a remake of Phil Collins' Land of Confusion & Todd McFarlane (artist from comic book Spawn) did this amazing high definition politically satire-ical video.... He has also worked on album art for Disturbed as well as Korn and Pearl Jam... (Sex Pistols, Jimi Hendrix & Metallica.....)
Very cool....
Enjoy :)

Gnarls Barkley doing a (in my opinion) pretty uninspired Violent Femmes cover... but the video is definately worth watching. Some sections are mildly NSFW.

NSFW.

NSF uptight douches.

NSF coke rap stans.

So this controversial song / (welfare)video has been blogfucked to death amongst hip-hop stans for a while now after it was yanked from GooTube (there is some titty, but I don't think it was pulled for that).

So, with that in mind, here's NYOIL with "Ya'll Should All Get Lynched", where he layeth some righteous fury down on, oh, most everyone in the hip-hop world.

http://www.bolt.com/NYOIL/video/Yall_should_all_get_lynch/2397339

As usual with internets phenomenom such as these, I find the discussion of said phenomenom far more illuminating than the object of derision / idolatry in question. Trust me on this, unkut has never had this many repsonses to any post of theirs.

As usual, my man Noz was his usual hysterical glib self, calling the song "republican rap".

Yeah there's some fury there alright, it has some pretty provocative images which counterpoint and almost justify the "all get lynched" chorus but all this playa hatin does no good though.

W.A.Y.U.H.

one of, if not my absolute favorite, songs of the year gets a lo-fi, Beastie Boys-esque video treatment.

Love the cheap animation, 'specially over the t-shirts, but, much like the song itself, the video really takes off after the "wind it up now" (notice how the geetar sounds like a clock being wound?). Breakin', hands waved about in a ' like you just don't care ' type of manner, jumping, kiddie pool cavorting, beach ball bashing...basicall a reminder that us dancin' foolz have a much better time at shows than the rest of ya'll.

I was debating how I would've filmed the chorus and, surprisingly, this comes fairly close. Mine would've had some scowling hipsters derisively mocking a cadre of fugly fatties who were groovin' to the tune, only to be mocked themselves during the "FUCK YOU AND DANCE" chorus as the freaks go all Busby Berkeley-esque on the oh so ironic hipster contingent.

But hey, choreographing a dance to the Zing! of the year (musically, at any rate) makes me smile, and if you don't find yourself at least foot-tapping during the finale, you are a sad and pitiful excuse for a human being and I feel sorry for you.

The Mercury Craze, Subtle.

if you can withstand the high-pitched caterwaul rasp rap of Doseone (and you should at least try, dude is a brilliant lyricist) then feast your eyes on the visual mindfuck of the latest team SSSR (Norwegian / Japanese...that seems about right) video.

in my perfect world, that video would be the TRL winner for, oh, about a month.

It's nice to know that you care for me, doglips.

Anyway, I guess it's my turn. Don't expect any life lessons here, more randomness I would say, but well maybe there is life lessons to be learnt through the condiut of said apparent randomn...

No I didn't know where to go with that one either.

Here goes notin'.

In returns for kindesses recieved, to my mangy mandog manmate, doglips...

Zone it Forewards

For everyone's pepperminty benip'ed pal, the one, the only, T3h R3b00ns...

Pay it Zonewards

A sober tune of sobirety and light, for the holiest of holies, Reverend Brock...

Zone it Zonewards

And last, but not least, but Kirk...

Clean up afterwards, for the Zone, mm?

I don't know, this is surely doomed to die, but if anyone else would care to take a turn, you don't have to be as a highbrow as I, for funs, for kindly friend to friend educational dispersions, for the pleasure of giving, feel free to just spin the bottle of your mind, hitch up a life lesson or two, squint like Haley Joel, and simply give into the magic of the moment...

LOL.

Ooh, is this like Zone It Forward, or Pay it Zonewards, or Zone it Zonewards or something? Except with ... with less Hayley Joel Osmand?

Can you tell I didn't really know where to go with that one?

Anyway, I like that first one actually, sweet tunesmithery, the second, the second scares me some, but in all the right ways I think.
